I expected a lot from this place. I was not so much disappointed in the food as in the pretentiousness; there is a false friendliness and an ambiance of artificial sophistication....

Great local eatery 8/24/2005

This is an excellent local restaurant that ranks up with the top restaurants in the city. It is a little tricky to get in, especially on the weekends for dinner, but it is worth the wait. The area is a bit tough, but the food is top notch. They have a wide variety of offerings - including seafood, red meat, chicken and pasta. Excellent desserts and top notch service. Not really family friendly unless kids are pretty mellow. more

My Favorite Restaurant 8/15/2005

The Tuscan Grill is located on Moody St in Waltham. On street parking can be difficult to find, but there is a municipal lot located in the back. This restaurant is very small, so you may not get in if you don't have reservations. They do not reserve seating at the bar however, so if you get their early, you may be able to get a seat. The entrees here are so good - the menu changes seasonally and everything is prepared just right. On Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve they offer a prix fixe menu which is amazing. Prices are not too expensive, and it's definitely worth a trip here. more
