I've had better service at a self-checkout kiosk... or a cemetery. \r

I was with a party of nine people and we called ahead to place ourselves on a waiting list. We were told to expect about a 45 minute wait - it was Sunday at noon, so that seemed totally reasonable. We arrive about 20 minutes into our expected wait time, only to end up waiting an additional 45 minutes to an hour. \r

The bar service during this time was terrible. It took about 20 minutes to get one beer, while literally standing at/leaning on the bar.\r

Once seated - at a table that had actually been open the ENTIRE time we had been waiting - things quickly went from bad to worse. We were seated on a rooftop patio. I will say, the atmosphere was great, but the birds were terrible. The server, 'Katie,' was so incoherent the entire time, we expected her to collapse or lose conciousness in the floor. Thankfully, she never did, although it would not have been surprising if she had while carrying a tray with our food one it, dragging out our God-awful experience even longer.\r

I asked for water immediately, along with another beer. The alcohol arrived relatively quickly, but the water - after asking for it an additional 3 times - arrived about an hour later, and was never refilled for the duration of our visit. We were told that the kitchen was backed up, so we were prepared to wait, but every possible thing went wrong. The food came out at all different times. Keep in mind, these were mostly brunch dishes, consisiting of things like eggs and grits, that really aren't good once cold, or if they've been sitting out. So, each member of our party was actually eating at different times during this experience. \r

The diners at the two tables around us had similar issues. One table moved inside due to being crapped on/attacked by birds and the other table called a manager to come over. We only overheard the conversation, but he was not at all apologetic - only very defensive, and consistently made excuses for the terrible service and embarrassing employees, rather than accepting any kind of responsibility and attempting to rectify it. We tried to chime in, and he simply wished us a ""nice afternoon"" and walked away. After wasting 3 - 4 hours at his restaurant, our afternoon was essentially spent, so no, we were not able to enjoy the rest of the day.\r
\r
Our gratuity was included and I was so appalled by the extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism, that I (along with everyone at the table) scratched out the included gratuity and included no kind of tip in the final total. If I find that I am charged gratuity, I will have no hesitation in disputing the charge through my bank. IT WAS LITERALLY THAT AWFUL OF AN EXPERIENCE. \r

I will never go to this restaurant again. I would not go in there to request a glass of water if I were on fire, because I would burn to death long before actually getting it, as is evidenced by this review.
