An Absolutely Miserable Experience 4/6/2008

No water offered or brought to the table. Food came out before drinks. Fifteen minutes after drink order we were told that the bar couldn't make mojitos (they were out of mint). We ordered the antipasto to start. Canned artichoke. Canned roasted peppers. Bad olives. More bad olives made into a bad tapenade. Poor excuse for prosciutto was more like Piggly Wiggly deli meat. Sliced cheese was bad too. We sent it back to the kitchen but not before we had the server protest that it was all made in-house. Pros: The tango dancers were good. Cons: The whole experience was a complete failure by everyone but the hostess. more

Great restaurant experience! 2/5/2007

We LOVE this place!! My wife and I come to TANGO everytime we visit friends in Coconut Grove. Last Friday night we went to Cafe TU TU TANGO after seeing a movie and were pleasantly surprised to see that they had redone the dining room with new colors, new boothes but we love sitting outside to people watch. We were also surprised to see a new menu, our server, Marta was fantastic and suggested a few of her favorites and we still had our favorites, the Tuna Sashim and beef skewers but the favorite of the night was the chopped Chicken Salad and a wonderful warm chocolate souffle cake. Of course, our guests all enjoyed the Brasilian dancers and the balloon guy working the room...all in all just a great night! Hope they open in Broward or Aventura soon. Pros: Fun atmosphere, lots of action, great food and service Cons: Too far from us! more

A sad, downhill slide 8/9/2006

We had not been to Tu Tu Tango for 2 years and were shocked to see the place in terrible disrepair and almost empty on a Sunday afternoon. The food was still good and had not changed and the service was good but it should have been considering there were 12 other customers. The booths were falling apart as were the chairs. Also the place was not terribly clean and the ladies room had much to be desired. I doubt that we'll ever return as there are better choices in the Grove. Pros: Food Cons: Ambience and cleanliness more

Eclectic Food. 3/30/2006

Great selection of tapas, somewhat pricey, but what is not expensive in the Grove. Service is excellent, atmosphere is fantastic. If you are in the Grove, a must. more

Amazing Tapas 11/3/2002

Tango's has some of the best tapas ever. They have specials that change every week...you can never get bored with their food. The waiters and bartenders are very friendly and attentive. My favorite place to sit is at the outdoor bar...it affords an excellent view of Coconut Grove, the sunsets and the nightlife. Besides, they have great deals such as their Tuesday half-priced bottles of wine. Their specials during Happy Hour are great too. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys appetizers/tapas, great drinks, and an amazing value. Pros: Great Food, Value Cons: Parking more

great service, fun waiters and bartenders, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, great house drinks and specials - tues. 1/2 price bottles of wine, entertainment most nights more

Great launch site 6/18/2002

If you want a light dinner before a night of drinks or before a movie, this is a fun place to go. All the servings are small and you share with your party. I also like how the walls are adorned in local artistry. It makes for a fun time. Try to sit outside, so you can people watch the Coconut Grove shoppers. more
