Jon's was the first place I went to, since I live right down the street, I have driven by it a thousand times. Then I though, let me shop around. I found cheaper dresses at a David's Bridal and even some dresses the same price...and that's exactly what they were...CHEAP...I was amazed at the fabric...I felt like I was trying on a picnic table cloth...WOW...I then went to Demetrio's Bridal, prices for the dresses were comparable, fabric comparable, styles and fit comparable, but Jon's had better friendliness of staff, personalization, and there is No wait time to order a dress because you get the dress you try on. I literally RAN back to Jon's the next day (since it was then late in the evening). I couldn't get my mind off the beautiful fit of the dress to my body. I didn't even need any alterations. Excellent. Another bummer about David's Bridal was that the consultant was taking care of several brides at the same time...Not at Jon's...You get one on one service...Thanks Denise!!! more

From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I was the only bride to be there! My consultant Rebecca was a dream!! Before we went ""dress shopping"" she sat me and my mom down asking us what kind of wedding I was having as well as what type of dress I saw myself in. She was truly my fairy god mother preparing me for my dream wedding! She listened to what I had to say and was not pushy in any way! She allowed me, my mother, my maid of honor and matron of honor in the dress isle with her. We all had a hand in selecting dresses to try on! I was impressed with the fact that Rebecca accompained me in the dressing room as I would have never been able to try on those big heavy dresses myself! I love the fact that I had to wear the ""makeup mask"" since other brides try on the dresses as well! I was happy knowing that the dress I took home did not have makeup stains on it!! Seeing some of the negative reviews made I am kinda shocked that other brides had bad experiences since mine was so fantastic. Just remember that there are two sides to every story! Jon's requires you to make an appointment (which I agree with) and every store has their own set of procedures. I recommend calling ahead or visiting their website. I had a great experience at David's Bridal. The saleswoman was not pushy (which was a fear of mine) or overbearing and was very patient. The store was elegant and not cramped or cluttered. It was my first stop and I tried on a variety of dresses and was able to figure out what my preferences were. Most were close to my price range and there were nice dresses at an affordable price! Although the dress I had gone there to try on they did not have in my size, their size was too small to get a good look at, and they don't do orders so that is a downfall if your heart is set on a certain dress. Pros: classy, dresses in your size, great experience Cons: more pressure to purchase & limited stock b/c can't order more

Yesterday was the first time I went dress shopping and I knew that I wanted to go to Jon's Bidal first. I had been 3 years ago with my best friend when she got married. I loved that they had so many dresses to choose from and that you could go through the racks and see all the dresses. My consultant was Kim and she was so nice! I told her what I was looking for and she knew what to show me. I had also brought in pics and as soon as I told her that I loved a certain style of dress she knew exactly what to get for me. She pulled a dress for me and it was the first one I tried on and I loved it!!!! Tried on lots of ther dresses too but went back to the first dress and knew that this was definitely THE one. Kim was awesome and even Jon came out to compliment me in my dress =) The whole staff was so nice and I would reccomend Jon's to all my friends. I went to Jon's Birdal looking for my bridal gown. This had been the third store I had been to and I was totally not expecting to find my dress. As soon as I walked in the door I was amazed. The selection of dresses is huge. My consultant was Denise. She was amazing. She took me through the dresses and i picked out ones I liked. If I saw one I liked and it was out of my price range, she would let me know. She gave me advice on so many things from flower colors to pictures. My dress was the second one I tried on and it got all my bridesmaids crying :). The trip was great! I tried other bridal stores/boutiques but nothing had hit me. Jon's had a great selection of the style I was looking for. Even though some of the prices were a little higher than I was hoping for, there were sales and I definatly felt I had an original dress. The sales lady was wonderful and I was treated like #1 which was fun! Thanks so much for all your help! As a first time dress shopper I had no idea what to expect when shopping for ?the dress?. I made a Saturday appointment with Jon?s Bridal and another bridal ?competitor? David?s Bridal. Thankfully my appointment with Jon?s was first and I had the most amazing experience. Kim was the consultant that helped me in my quest and I was so impressed to have a one-on-one consultant for a Saturday appointment. Not only was she extremely professional and patient, she also treated my family as if they were just as important as I was. At Jon?s they let you go through the racks to decide together what you would like to try. Thankfully, Kim knew exactly what to look for to accentuate everything I wanted in my dream dress. Due to my second pending appointment, I told Kim that I needed to make sure that the dress at Jon?s was ?the one?. She was very understanding and gave me the information I needed to locate the dress again if I returned. My appointment at David?s was a very different experience with one consultant helping several other brides and the selection being mediocre. I immediately called Kim to tell her I was coming back for my dress. I was so impressed with the time that Kim took with me on a Saturday. Everything about my experience at Jons was absolutely FANTASTIC. The atmosphere was classy and comfortable, and the selection was unsurpassed. Jon's was my first bridal shop and I found my dream dress RIGHT away! I decided to still keep my other appts. just in case, but I came back to Jons the very next day to buy my dress. From the minute I walked in I was in awe. The store is huge and soooo beautiful. They have a bigger selection than any other store I had been to and the prices were very reasonable. The consultant was so tuned in to me and my mom. I had shopped a lot for a wedding gown before I went to Jons and the majority of the dresses there I had not seen in any other store. The few that I had seen in other stores were half the price at Jons. I found the gown of my dreams and neither my mom or I could stop crying. The really great thing about Jons Bridal is that you can try on dresses IN YOUR OWN SIZE. I went in with several pictures I had printed out and when I tried on those dresses they were not that exciting. You really need to see your wedding gown in your own size on your own body in the mirror to know when you find THE DRESS. I would recommend Jons Bridal to anyone who is getting married. Be sure to call them first and set up an appointment. Jons has awards from the knot for having been voted best bridal store in the Tampa Bay for several years on display in their tiara case. The store is just beautiful and no other store had so many dresses to try on. The prices were even lower than the internet and about half of what other stores were charging for the same exact dress. I saw online that Jons Bridal was voted as the best bridal store in the Tampa Bay by girls on the knot for 2007 and 2008. After going there I can say that they will have my vote for 2009 When I was looking for my wedding dress I went to at least 10 other stores before I got to Jons Bridal. All I can say now is that I wish I had not wasted all that time and just gone to Jons FIRST. They are huge (like the size of 10 stores in one) and it is awesome to try on wedding gowns in your own size. The prices were lower than anywhere else and they had good service. What I liked most was that had a lot of styles that were not anywhere else. I like the idea that I'm not wearing the same wedding gown as hundreds of other girls. I had a great time here. I had gone to another large bridal chain store and they had terrible customer service skills. I had to pull my own dresses and zip myself up. Here my consultant assisted me every way she possibly could. You guys made choosing my wedding dress very easy and I had the time of my life doing it. I had such a wonderful experience at Jons Bridal. My consultant was like my Godmother in that she made my day. She was so patient and helpful and her bubbly personality made me feel like a giddy little girl. This is my second wedding and I came in with an attitude that my body didn?t look good enough for such beautiful gowns. My consultant changed my mind and helped bring out my ?real woman? figure and enhance my curves properly. She made special suggestions to alter the dress to suit me perfectly. My consultant at Jon?s bridal was fabulous, especially in comparison to the other experiences in other bridal stores. The Jon?s consultant immediately picked up on the style I wanted and helped to narrow it down to just a few. She never pushed a sale or a gown. She was simply concerned with my happiness. It says a lot about a store when their employee?s there can make a very hectic decision more comfortable just by being knowledgeable, kind, and a friend. The experience was so great that I was beginning to wish that there were more reasons that just getting married to come to Jon?s Bridal. But, I will refrain from remarriage just to visit. Instead I will recommend Jon?s Bridal to any future bride looking for the perfect dress for the perfect day. Thank you Jon for having such a great store. I went to Jon's Bridal today with my sister who is getting married in two weeks. My sister went there by herself and bought a dress there 2 days ago in kind of a rush.This weekend we went back to return it because it was too tight (she is pregnant). Also, her and her fiancee decide to just have a small wedding and Jon's did not have a selection of informal dresses. Pros: RUDE, RUDE, RUDE Cons: RUDE, RUDE, RUDE more

went to Jons bridal for my dress and ended up buying a dress for over $1,200.00. The dress had stains on it and beads that needed to be repaired so they kept the dress and veil while they sent it to be repaired. When I went to pick up and pay for my dress and veil that were still at the store I let them know that I was going to look for a different veil with a more feminine look. My mother lives over 2,000 miles away and would not be able to come with me to Jons again so we would have to look in her state when I went to visit her. The store refused to take the veil off of my bill and offered me a store credit for the veil that never even left thier store (plus a $50.00 restocking fee of the veil). I With an excuse that they dont take returns. In my opinion this is not the way to treat a customer who just spent a total of $1,500.00 in your store for a veil that she never even left the store with. BAD BUSINESS DONT GO HERE! more
