Trudy's Place

I have taken my dog to Trudy's Place for the last 11 years. My family goes on vacation quite frequently. Sandy Loved going to Trudy's Place. It recently switched owner's a couple years ago and I was a little apprehensive to continue to take Sandy there, I was quite surprised at my first phone call to confirm her visit. The owner was so friendly, energentic, and sociable... from then on he would recognize my voice associate it with Sandy. It is though dogs (animals) encompasse his entire life! more

Great kennel. I took my dog here for a several night stay and had her groomed, while we were on vacation. Jay did a wonderful job grooming and watching over her. Definitely would recommend!!!! more

My first review I have been taking my golden mix, Teddy, to Trudy's place for grooming and the occasional boarding for the past 5 years. Today I noticed an enormous hotspot on his tail. He wouldn't let me near it to cut the matts out, so I called my vet to see if they could just shave him and how much it would cost. The vet told me that I would have to pay $60 for a check up, then additional $$ for the shaving and antibiotics. I've know from prior experience that this would run me close to $120 (I knew it was a hot spot and it's not infected...I just needed a shave). At 5:30, 30minutes prior to Ttrudy's place closing, I get the brilliant idea to call them to see if they could shave him. Jay answered the phone (as always) and told me to bring him right down...no problem! He did a wonderful job of shaving the spot, and applied antibiotic to his tail. Best of all he didn't even charge me. Thank you and I will continue to use your services. more

I don't usually write things like this, but after picking up my poor doggie Monday morning I thought I owed it to my fellow dog lovers out there about Trudy's Place. Like a lot of you, I saw the wonderful reviews online and thought it would be a good place to send my dog while I was on vacation for a week. I decided to do a ""trial run"" the weekend before just to make sure my pup would be ok. I dropped him off Saturday morning and picked him up Monday morning at 8:30 am when they opened. When I went to pick up my dog, the owner told me ""he was just let out so he should be ok"" right as he started to pee...for a minute straight. I thought to my self..obviously you didn't just let him out but wasn't too bothered by it until I got him. As soon as I pulled into my driveway my dog jumped out of the car and pooped, twice. That might not sound strange to you, but my dog ALWAYS poops in the evening when I get home from work. Add the long pee and popping twice at 9am together...that tells me he wasn't let out the night before either. In the owner's defense, he may consider ""letting him out"" letting him outside on the concrete slab they have attached to the inside kennels, but my dog is trained not to go potty on cement and therefore held it for heaven knows how long. I was irritated at this point, but still wasn't going to post on here. Here is the kicker: since I brought my dog home he has vomited every day and had diarrhea for the first 2 days. I gave them a bag of his own dog food so he could stay on his normal diet, so if they had fed him that why would his stomach be upset? I know that I have felt guilty all week and will NEVER take my dog back there ever again. What you do is up to you, but I felt like all of the positive posts were misleading and wanted to get the truth out there. Instead of taking my puppy back to the boarder for the week I'm away, I'm sending him to stay with my sister where I KNOW he will be taken care of :-) more

We boarded our dog there over the July 4th weekend for the first time and were greatly impressed! I called them the week before, I got a phone call back within 30 minutes of leaving them a message. This place isn't the ritz but I was looking for somewhere relatively cheap where I could trust my dog would be taken care of, and this fit the bill perfectly! Brownie was happy when we picked her up and wasn't bouncing off the walls like I expected, so they must have taken her out quite a bit because she is a very active girl! I highly recommend Trudy's place! more

Absolutely the best... My dogs have always enjoyed staying here, and they always seem very happy to visit. Very friendly and helpful - and the dogs are always well taken care of. If you need to send your dog(s) somewhere to stay, this should be the place! Pros: Dogs LOVE this place! Cons: Absolutely none. more

This is a great place for boarding dogs! They allow you to bring comfort items from home and they will give your dog a little treat at night if you so choose. They even cleaned our towels for us when they got muddy! Really nice workers and very kind people. more

This facility is wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend Trudy's place to anyone . The kennel is the cleanest one I've ever seen, the people are friendly, professional and great with the animals. I can't say enough good things about this kennel. more
