TruGreen Lawn Care

Lawn care was crappy. Grass is dull, weeds still thriving after 4 treatments. Used them from April to September. Called after 2nd treatment and told them to stop service. They offered a free treatment to get rid of the weeds and said they would get back to us to see how we looked the lawn with the additional treatment. NO CHANGE IN LAWN! They then did another UNAUTHORIZED treatment 2 weeks later! But still no change in lawn! We called again to complain about lawn and that we had canceled and they wanted to another ""FREE"" treatment! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! RIP OFF!!! more

The first few years we owned our home we tried to take care of our lawn ourselves. We live near a large "farm" field that is only planted to keep run-off down (our town owns it rather than the farmer they pay to plant it). The field receives no sort of weed treatment at all. As a result, we get tons of cross polination and just plain old wind blow off from this field. Keeping the weeds down was a never ending battle. After a few years we gave up trying.\r \r Lesiure lawn (now Chemlawn) started treating the lawn about 6 years ago. It took a couple of years of treatments for it to look better. By the 3rd year it looked great. The fourth year, 2006, was a rough one for weeds. They came out a few extra times to our home and to many of our neighbors just trying to keep the mess at bay. Chemlawn has been treating our lawn for the past three years. Overall I'd have to say we are pretty disappointed with the condition of our lawn. We still have the ocassional brown spots and weed patches, although I'm sure it is better than what it would be without their services. I expect a lush green lawn and we have yet to see that. Next year we are going to try it on our own, for the $ we spend on Chemlawn, maybe we can produce better results! We have brougt this to their attention and they will come out and spot check the lawn, but it doesn't seem to improve. more
