Tritek Window Tinting

Tritek, Garland, TX, tinted the front side windows of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Extremely professional & friendly. Matched my color perfectly, and the result was flawless, all in about an hours time. Was happy to get a 3yr warranty with the reasonably priced basic package; a lifetime warranty is available at an additional price. Have already recommended Tritek, Garland, to my auto mechanic so he is able to refer customers to Tritek when asking him for a reliable tint shop. I got my windows tinted today at Tritek and they look great! the guys there were nice and even though i went with the less expensive 3yr tint they went out of there way to explain everything to me.they told me what they had but listened to what i wanted,even got my car in sooner than i thought they would. also i just have to say,the review from stellar1024 sounds like a guy with an agenda,he never mentions getting windows tinted there but seems to ""know"" everything about the place,i'm just sayin... more

If anyone in the DFW and/or surrounding areas is looking for a quality tint shop that is proven to do the best work around for years, i STRONGLY recommend taking your car to TRITEK WINDOW TINTING INC. They will get you in even on the busiest day in a timely manner. When they say it is guaranteed not to fade or bubble, they are not kid...ding. My mothers car has gone through five hot Texas summers with TRITEKS MADICO film, and mine has gone through two so far, and they look as if we just got them done! While my buddies cheap out on a cheap company and cheap film, and their windows turn purple within the year. I give TRITEK two thumbs up, and i would never take any car to anyone else but them! more

The prior reviews are correct in some regards. The Richardson and Garland locations are not at all related. However, the owner of the Garland location posts on some automotive forums, makes friends, then begs them all to come to sites like this and provide positive feedback to make him look good. I don't really appreciate false information on useful sites, so this review will set the record straight about the Garland Tritek location. First, their quality is not the worst, but not good. In order to keep costs down, they hire people who don't know how to tint and teach them on customers cars... but that's definitely not the worst thing they do... ---TRITEK CLAIMS THEY ARE SELLING AND APPLYING LIFETIME WARRANTY AND CERAMIC FILMS, CHARGE YOU A FORTUNE, THEN APPLY AN ENTRY LEVEL, SINGLE-PLY, CHARCOAL FILM THAT DOESN'T OFFER ANYWHERE NEAR THE PERFORMANCE--- If you don't believe me, find someone who has paid $399 for a ceramic film and have the film inspected. You will find that it is Madico Charcoal - a 3 year warranty, dyed film. I could go on and on, but I'd like to try and keep this short and to the point. When you pay someone that kind of money for their services and are deceived, it needs to be noted somewhere. If you really want honest people who do great work, I suggest Pro-Tint in plano, Alta Mere in plano, or Unique in Garland. more

I have taken 2 cars to Tritek. A Mazda Protoge and 5 Series BMW. Both have had worked done over a year ago and no issues with the tint and installation. The service was prompt as as expected along with good pricing. I noticed some other high end cars in the shop, Ferrari, Lamborghini, MB AMG 65, R34 Skyline GTR, C6 Corvettes, etc. Tritek must be doing something right for all these high end cars and customers to the shop. I highly recommend this place for the best Tint in Garland and in N. Texas. DP more

I had my 05 GTO tinted by David at Tritek of Garland and i must say that they did one heck of an awesome job. I have seen some bad tint jobs on GTO's and just smile cause mine is perfect! I went to them because everyone i know had taken their cars over to them for tint and loved it, needless to say after seeing my friends GT500, Shelby GTSC and a few others there was no reason to go elsewhere. i have had my tint for 3 years and must say it has not only saved my back leather seats from cracking (known GTO problem) but also make the car stand out from the normal. more

I've always heard that Tritek is the best place to get a car tinted in the DFW area, so when I was ready to tint my 2006 Mustang GT they were my first choice. I called ahead and talked to the owner, who was very straightforward and easy to talk to. I brought the car in, and decided to wait there while they worked on it. They got me in and out in a couple of hours, which is pretty impressive considering that they stripped my factory tint, laser cut the new tint, and then applied it to the car. I couldn't be any happier. The tint looked amazing, and still does to this day (that was almost a year ago). It's high quality tint too, my factory tint was being scratched by the windows liner, but my Tritek tint has held up for a year without any scratches and it keeps the car just as cool as it did the day it was installed. I've sent all my friends and family to Tritek as well, and will never take any of my vehicles anywhere else for tint. more

Decided to get my window tint done and was referred to Tritek. I got my tint done on my previous car, current car, parents cars, and bringing in my new car in to get another outstanding job done. They did one of the BEST jobs I could have ever asked for. Hands down one of the BEST if not the VERY BEST in the DFW Area. A friend turned me onto Tritek to get my car tinted a few years ago. They did literally a perfect job. no bubbles, scratches, no imperfections at all. Since then, I have taken 2 more of my own personal cars, and gone with/sent many friends to Tritek to get their tint done as well. Personally, I will not take my cars anywhere else to get tinted. I get comments like, ""who did your tint?!"" very often. I have seen too many horribly failed tint jobs, due to inexperience or the use of poor quality materials. I know for a fact that Tritek uses good quality materials, I would only put the best on my car. The guys are great up there too, a good group of people who are helpful getting you set up and choosing the tint that is right for you and your application. Also, they work incredibly fast!! I highly recommend Tritek Window Tinting, and I really believe it would be a mistake to take your car anywhere BUT Tritek for tint. more

So I have taken the past 6 cars I've owned to a local tint shop in Mesquite, since I started driving in 1999. You could say I've been loyal since this company has treated me right. However, as a member of several DFW forums, I heard about the great job that Tritek has been doing on several high end cars. I had put off tinting my 2008 Dodge Viper since I purchased the car in February of 2008, but after much prodding from several friends, I finally caved and decided to get the car tinted this summer. I took my pride and joy to Tritek, which is 15 miles past the normal shop where I have had all my other cars tinted. They did a great job on the tint, making sure that the tint was as close to the edge as possible, on my frameless door windows. They were also able to do the large glass panel on my hatch in one piece, and it looks fantastic. After several months, the tint looks just as good as the day that I had it tinted!! \r \r I will definitely be bringing in my 2006 Lexus GS430, and my brother's 2005 BMW M3 for re-tint's, as the previous tint done by another company is starting to purple and bubble up. Thank you Tritek for the great work on my cars, and the friendly customer service. I will continue to refer my family and friends to your shop! more

Tritek has been tinting my cars since 2004, they are great! Ive never had any problems with the tint on any of my cars, they even redid some bad tint someone else did on a car i bought. David always worked with my schedule even when they were super busy, and has done a few challenging sports cars of mine and an SUV. It's hard to find car people that wont try to give a woman the run around. Trustworthy and worth the money, two thumbs up!!! more

Yes, not one, but *two* brand new 2011 BMW X5 that were each less than a week old -- my fiancee's X5 along with her best friend's X5 (the one in the review below titled ""Stay away from Tritek...""). Since May has shared her experience with her X5, I will focus on our experience with my fiancee's X5.\r \r I am a lurker in a local automotive message board where Tritek is a forum sponsor. After reading about their work on high-end cars, I figured I'd try something new and suggest them over my usual preferred tint shop, despite Tritek being 20 miles away.\r \r When we rolled the windows down for the first time a few days after we got the tint, we noticed that our windows would roll down easy, but would roll back up very slowly and stick halfway. I took our X5 to the dealer the next day and not 15 minutes later, my service advisor called and told me what was up -- the interior window seals were pushed down and inverted during the tint installation. My options were to pay $600 out-of-pocket to pull the door panels off and flip the window seals, have the tint shop fix the window seals, or just live with the ""unwanted aftermarket feature.""\r \r I chose the reasonable option, to have Tritek fix the seals. We drove there the following Saturday morning (her best friend drove there that afternoon to fix her window seals as well); ten minutes later, they had our X5 ready and the windows were functioning back to normal. The story should really stop there, but it doesn't.\r \r Before I could put the car into drive, my fiancee is screaming at me that the door was messed up. Lo and behold, the passenger-side door panel on her brand new 2011 BMW X5 that was less than a week old w/ less than 500 miles had damage where the window seal meets the door panel. I WAS A LITTLE UPSET THAT THE KID THAT HANDED ME THE KEYS DID NOT OWN UP AND SAY A WORD ABOUT IT, but I would give Tritek a shot at customer service and resolve the issue.\r \r The owner of Tritek had the ""hookup"" at a BMW dealer to repair the damage. I was hesitant at a repair attempt, but figured we'd give it a shot. The best outcome would be that the door panel looked good as new and Tritek would not be out $1k for a new door panel.\r \r Needless to say, the repair does not look good as new and everybody that has ridden in the passenger seat notices the change in texture and sheen on the door panel (from the repair). As a matter of fact, it makes an excellent topic for discussion.\r \r I have since notified the owner that the repair does not look good as new, but it's been a few months now so it appears that there will be no further attempt at resolution from Tritek.\r \r So where does that leave us? My fiancee with a damaged door panel in her X5 and her best friend with windows that won't go up in her X5 because they didn't really fix her window seals when she dropped by. Instead, they suggested she spray water on her windows.\r \r Thanks Tritek. You've left your mark on our cars for all to see. Our friends, family, and co-workers will avoid your shop; and their friends and family will avoid your shop. When a dear friend wanted to get his Lamborghini Murcielago tinted, he asked about my experience with you guys. All I had to show him was our X5 door panel and that was more than enough.\r more

In the past I took my BMW 335i to Pro Tint in Plano and they did an awesome job! But I heard about this shop in Garland who is known for tinting exotic cars and they do a wonderful job. So I decided to give them a try.\r \r Long story short, I now have a BMW X5 with 2 back windows that don't roll bk up when I roll them down so I have to tell myself and passengers ""DON'T roll those windows down"" and a drivers side window that makes this loud cracking sound when I roll it up. \r \r Yes, it's very embarassing to get out of my car and poor water down the windows so then they will roll up. This was the advice I got from David when I drove to Garland for the second time to have them try to fix it.\r \r So now, I was told to go back to BMW and have them check my windows because it may be a malfunction on my car and it's under warrenty. Which I told David, they worked perfectly before I had them lay their hands on the car and Tritek also has lifetime warranty. \r \r I had mentioned that I just want half my refund so I can have someone fix their mistake. Of course David didn't want to admit to that. \r \r SO I won't be taking my Mini there for a tint job!\r more

When you cannot trust your car to mass production tint shops, this is the place. They are use to working on high end cars and they place very close attention to detail. By far the best tinter/and customer service in the DFW. There is no way to match how well the guys at Tritek get it done. Prompt timing, great product and by far the best service in DFW. They managed to make my very hard to tint Dodge Viper PERFECT! Among all the other guys these guys have done for me that have always ended up flawless. This is the ONLY shop that will be tinting any of my future vehicles Pros: Great customer service, great product! more
