Christine moved to The Loft on Ventura 10/11/2009

I followed Christine to The Loft mostly because I have great communication with her.She is filled with suggestions for my hair, but always listens to what I want and need. The people at Trilogy are nice, and gave me the number right away when I was looking for her, which hadn't been long. 818.501.1855. Her new place is cool, really clean and super friendly, and I even got a glass of wine. Cool stuff! Anyway, my hair has been long, short, red, blond, and brown during the time I've been seeing Christine. I dig her! Pros: Christine! Cons: Busy area, but thats good too more

Highly Recommended 3/6/2009

I tried this place because of the great reviews Crystal and the salon were getting; this place does not disappoint. Crystal is awesome. She gave me great haircut and highlights, is very informative and honest. The Salon personnel were pleasant and courteous, and prices are reasonable. more

Best Colorists and Great, Attentive Service 1/17/2009

I had been going to an incredibly expensive salon in LA for years and was in a serious hair rut. My colorist/stylist couldn't seem to maintain the color, or get it to the shade I needed. I always came out with really dark hair, even when highlights were added. A friend suggested Trilogy and I made an appointment with Tara. She knew exactly what had happened in regard to the color and went into total rescue mode. The color correction began with the first visit. It's been five months (I go approx. every 5 weeks for color) and my hair is the now color it was before I started to go gray. It's completely natural looking and complements my skin tone. Trilogy is a total find. The service is excellent too. more

""not what i expected"" is misleading 12/12/2008

If you don't want to spend that kind of money, then don't go see an experienced professional. There are many hairdressers that cost lot more, especially on the other side of the hill. Leo was trained by the best. She guarantees her work, so if you didn't like it, you could have asked her to re-do it. Pros: Leo Cons: The neighborhood. more

Not what I expected 10/9/2008

I found out about Leo from the Naturallycurly website. I had very high hopes that I had finally found a place that would make my curls look fabulous. Leo is very knowledgeable about curly hair and she was the first stylist that cut my hair dry. As she was cutting I thought ""Great! I finally found a person who KNOWS curly hair."" After she cut my hair, she washed it, and dried it with a diffuser. When I saw the results of all of her work (the whole process took two hours) I was so disappointed. I said thank you, paid (I have never paid $80 for a hair cut in my life!), and got into my car as fast as I could. The next day I faced my co-workers and asked them for their brutal honesty. They said they liked it and that the cut made me look modern. They were shocked when I told them how much I paid. In the end, I would not return to get my hair cut there again because one, I can't afford it, and two, I didn't like how it turned out. Pros: Leo - she's nice. Staff Cons: High Prices more

I have been going to Trilogy for about a year and I see Crystal, who is amazing. She does exactly what I want each time I see her. I have refered her so many people that she gave me a free haircut! Leo is a curly girl's BFF! 4/15/2008

I have always had an extremely difficult time finding someone to cut my curly hair. Leo (Leonora) Freeman is my savior!! From the first visit, I knew she was the right person. She will do a free consultation with no pressure to get your hair cut on that visit. I stayed for the cut because I could tell she really knew curly hair. In fact, she was the first stylist I've met that I didn't have to explain how to properly cut curly hair. Finally someone I could learn from! She introduced me to the DevaCurl hair care products and showed me some new techniques to prevent frizz. I've been going to her for a little over a year and I've never had more compliments on my hair as in that time! (mostly from people that don't normally notice that sort of thing) I can't say enough good things about her. She is really sweet and has an amazing set of curls herself! Visit her and you will not be disappointed. more

If you have curly hair, go see Leo! 3/15/2008

I found Leo on the naturallycurly web site about a year ago--she had rave reviews on there so I made an appointment. My hair is thick, curly and can be a complete beast when I don't have a decent haircut. During my first visit, Leo asked me some questions about my hair and I felt comfortable right away. She clearly knew what she was doing, and I was thrilled to see that she uses Devachan products and their dry cutting technique which is the best for curls. My hair looked amazing--not frizzy, not too thick--just perfectly layered ringlets. I get compliments on my hair all the time! Plus, she's just a really cool chick. She takes time to look after you and has a really sweet personality. more

Best Hair Stylist EVER!!!!! 3/12/2008

Kelly Belly, as I like to call her, has been doing my hair for three years now, and I don't know what I am ever going to do when I move! I did extensions for my wedding, and they looked so great! Her technique is fantastic, and she always keeps my hair super healthy! Her color is always wonderful, and I have gone from blonde to black and back, and it always looks good. I truly do have the best hair ever. Also, Kelly and the staff are really really nice. Cons: Difficult to get in because she is always busy!!! more

The atmosphere is friendly and warm. You feel like part of the family. Tara is my stylist. I wanted to try something a little bit different this time, i totally trusted her and she didn't let me down. I love my colour and the cut is fabulous, manageable and chic. You never want to be in a rush when you book your appointment. Saver every moment. Lloyd is a junior stylist but when he washes your hair its like you paid for a massage as well. Love it, can't wait to go back. Can't wait to tell all my friends! Pros: Parking round the back. Excellent stylists. Lovely atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Cons: That i can't go every week. more

Every girl knows the importance of a great haircut. Finding a salon that has a great atmosphere, is affordable and gives you the cut that not only meets, but goes beyond your expectation is rare. Trilogy encompasses all of this. Tara is my stylist and she is phenomenial. She's edgy, warm and delivers the style that I'm seeking every single time. As excited as I am for a new cut and color, her assistant, Lloyd gives one of the most amazing hair washes. It is truly one of my favorite experiences. One thing that sets this salon apart from others is the art that they sell, litterally, off the walls. Most are local artists and talented at that. This salon also has waxing services by Lena, who makes each visit comfortable and calm. So - make a saturday of it and get the experience you deserve. more

Patient, professional, friendly, attentive 1/5/2007

I recently moved to the Valley Village area and went to this salon because of its cute design (and that I can walk there from my house). I got booked with Christine and I was so happy with my hair. I had brought a zillion pictures to show her what I wanted (even though I had no idea really) and she was so patient with me. She wound up coloring my hair better than any picture I had. My husband loves it and the cut , I get so many compliments. I'll definitly be back. more

Kind, caring atmosphere 11/16/2006

I went to this salon because it was near my house, but now that I've moved I still make the drive to the valley. Everyone there is great! They're helpful, they're personable, and there's never any pressure. I go there for everything now: waxing, haircut, color. I hear the eyelash perm and tints are out of this world! :) Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Closed Sunday and Monday more

I've followed lena to all 3 salons she's been with, and now i've found my hairstylist too. Lena does my ALL my waxing- from playboy to eyebrows. And Rosibel does the BEST hair coloring! hi. I had gone into trilogy a week ago to try out their ""new facials"" they are now offering-and surprisingly it was soooo relaxing! i never pamper myself, so i thought this would be a nice experiance to try... i recomend their facials to anyone..i think there is one for guys, but i had the 1 hour AVEDA facial....The chick that did my facial was really cool too. Trilogy is an all -in -one Salon. You get excellent service from the front desk to the stylists! Everyone is very friendly and personalbe in the salon. Makes you feel very comfortable and home. Decor is very relaxing and beautiful! My stylist is Taline, one of the owners. All the Stylists are very educated and experienced. Overall, I had a great experience at Trilogy!!!! Highly recommed it!!! Pros: Stylists are all experienced and educated! They have plenty of parking in the back. more

Lena's been doing my eyebrows and anything else on my face for years...even my dreaded bikini line!! I'm kinda hesitant to share her with the rest of the world but...ah...what the heck...everybody should feel beautiful...like I do whenever she's done with me.
