Enjoyed Elena 11/2/2009

I recently moved to Indy and was looking for a salon. I was going through the Visitors Guide and noticed Trichology Salon was listed and it had received high ratings so I decided to give them a try. I called and made an appt. with Elena to have my hair cut and colored. I have to say this is probably the best haircut I have ever had and my color is awesome. You know you have a good cut when you can style it yourself and it looks just like the stylist did it. Elena took the time to explain why she chose the hair color she did and how to blow dry my hair. Shawnett is an absolutely masterful stylist! Every cut, color and highlight I have ever gotten from her has been nothing less than perfection. I have been a faithful client of hers for many years. She is a great listener and is always up on the latest trends, techniques and products. She invariably takes as much time as is necessary with you. Shawnett also has a delightful, warm personality that makes sitting in her chair a relaxing retreat! Pros: Shawnett's talent, and scalp massage! more

I just want to say how much I have enjoyed having my hair cut and styled at your salon by Shawnett. She has been cutting my hair for many years, and I ALWAYS get compliments after I've had my hair cut. Shawnett has a lot of experience, is thorough, and very friendly! Hair no longer held hostage 4/13/2009

Wow! Before Elena, I drove many miles to have my hair cut and colored. I have tried many other stylists and salons in Carmel and Indy but none can hold a candle to Elena. She clearly rises above other sylists and colorists. I have very fine and flat hair. She is able to bring my hair back to life. I no longer need to drive to Chicago for my hair. Thanks Elena!! Stylist that works with CURLY hair! 4/2/2009

I have always had curly hair. Biggest problem is that when I would get it cut, I could never get the same look as I did when I got out of a salon. Went to Elaina, she listened to the pro's and con's about my hair. Elaina not only gave me a great haircut, she took the time and taught me how to style my hair. I love my hair now....I have referred many people to Elaina, everyone with different hair issues.....we all have shared our ""chair"" stories, we are all happy! WISH I KNEW YOU 20 YEARS AGO!!!! A great salon & a Fabulous Stylist! 3/12/2009

I had been lookinng for a new stylist in the Indy area and made an appointment with Elena at Trichology. I was searching for a stylist that could help me find a new style that was just right for me. So many want to just have you tell them what to do. I was happy to find that Elena was not only interested in what I wanted, but was also willing to give great advice on what would look great for me! I found her to be very friendly and inviting and she did a great job explaining what cut and color would look fabulous on me. She took me from 'long boring blonde' to 'short sassy brunette'. Great Salon 2/14/2009

I found this salon online and thought I would give it a try, and glad I did! I love my hair cut! I have tried 4 salons in Indianapolis and this is the first one I completely love, and the first one that has showed me how to cut and style my hair. I had not had my hair cut in about 6 months and I went in and told Jessica that it needed thinned (I have really thick hair) and put into some style but keeping the length. She explained to me how to have my hair cut to give it shape and lay right since it was so thick, for my face shape. She also showed me how to straighten my hair without using a straightener, which now cuts 15 minutes off my morning routine. I have had more compliments on my hair since I had it cut a week ago than I have had in about 4 years. I would definitely recommend this salon. It is worth the price and Jessica has great expertise in cutting hair. Thanks! more

Best Salon for a Cut and Color 1/14/2009

I have been a client of Jessica's for atleast 4 years. I was so impressed by her cut, color and way of doing business that I followed her from her previous location in Fishers. In fact, even when I have lived out of the state and out of the country, Jessica has been my only stylist. She keeps a clean and calm salon. The decor is sleek warm. She has the most comfortable shampoo chairs that I have ever had the pleasure of using. I trust Jessica's recommendations on color, cut and products. I would definitely recommend Jessica and Trichology Salon. more

Wonderful Salon 1/9/2009

I have been going to Jessica for over a year now for hair cuts/color/highlights - she is kind, easy-going, a great listener and very talented. Concerning some of the recent changes and subsequent reviews, I must say that I too was often uncomfortable with the ""gossiping"" done by past stylists. I too experienced them talking rudely about people by name, some of whom had just left the salon. While I have always loved Jessica, I always wondered what was said about me after I left. I think that the recent changes at the salon were needed, and will in time prove to be very beneficial to the overall relaxing, wonderful environment Jessica provides. Best haircut and color around. 12/18/2008

I'm a very busy woman and don't have much time to fuss with my hair. I want it to be easy to manage and look great at the same time. Jessica does a great job covering my gray hair which I can't stand, and gives me a beautiful cut. Most places that I've tried the color seems to fade within a week or two and the gray shows too soon. She has taught me how to dry my hair with this great brush that I got from her in less than 10 minutes. My hair falls into place and looks great, and my color has lots of shine with no gray! I wish I would've found her years ago, but I'm so happy I've found her now! I give this salon and Jessica 5 stars. Pros: relaxing salon, great coffee, J Beverly Hills products more

Surprise Pricing depending on Client 12/9/2008

I am still steamed about this experience (haircut in 2007). I moved to Fishers in 2007 and looked for various salons in the greater Indy area. I contacted Trichology after reading several positive reviews. I saw Elle. I was not pleased with the lack of posted pricing, and the disconnect with the quoted price over the phone. The website said haircuts starting at $35 and up. My hair does not reach my shoulders. I was charged $65, no color, sloppy cut, and tip of $12= $77, a far cry from the starting price of $35. My cut grew out in three weeks and I went to Cossu Salon instead and got a great cut for $35. I kept Elle's business card where she wrote down what she would charge me, provided to me AFTER my haircut, I would not recommend this salon. I felt uncomfortable with the environment as well, as the women had the tendency to cut people down in the Carmel/Fishers area by name, in particular Elle. My recommendations for this salon would be to post pricing, be upfront about your fees, and cut the gossip. Pros: Carmel Zipcode Cons: Attitude and Client dependant pricing. more

Perfect salon for my family and budget. 11/11/2008

I've been a long time client of Jessica's. She also cuts my husband and 3 kids hair. She is always a pleasure to talk with and does an outstanding job on my color and cut. My family enjoys going to her salon. I appreciate her professionalism and skill, her prices also fit our budget. I absolutely love this hair salon and Jessica is amazing. I always love the way my hair looks and I get so many compliments. No matter what look I'm going for, Jessica can help me achieve it with beautiful results. She is amazing at coloring and I highly recommand Jessica and Trichology Salon!!! Loved this place! 6/3/2008

Just went for my first visit today and LOVED IT! Found salon on this website, read the reviews, and thought I would give them a try. I went with Elle, I liked her profile on website. She does the other stylists hair, so I thought she's got to be good. Good indeed! She gave me gorgouse natural highlights and did some fashion color on me at the shampoo bowl, her specialty. My hair has never looked so pretty, and I love the cut. My ends were pretty dry and I was affraid to get it cut, but its amazing what a good cut can do. My hair actually looks longer now. Thanks Elle, you did a great job. One more thing, I noticed the last review, looks like from today too, I have to disagree with it. My experience was fun, the stylists and clients were enjoyable. The stylist have good personalities, and it's fun to be in a salon were your free to converse with everyone. Thanks for not being a boring salon were you don't talk with your clients. I'll be back and I highly recommend Trichology. Pros: Great color, cut and enjoyable experience. Cons: Raining when I left, but hair still looks good. more

...Not a fun experience... 6/3/2008

Wow. I just left and I couldn't get out of there fast enough! I was miserable sitting there almost the whole time. The irony is that it wasn't the haircut that was making me miserable (the cut was not bad) - it was the ""caddy-ness"" of the stylists. The stylst next to me was making fun of her older gentleman client not two minutes after he walked out of the door. It makes wonder what they were saying about me when I walked out of the door. Also, their website says that a men's haircut costs $25-$40. I asked for and got a haircut. I was charged $40. Not sure what I would get for $25, but I wanted to get out of there so fast that I didn't bother to ask... more

Best staff 5/22/2008

I have been going to salon to salon since my past hair dresser moved. I got online and read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I have been upset for the past 6 weeks on my hair cut and style. I wasn't sure what could be done since my hair is already short.
