My cat got out and we did not notice. She is a older cat and has a leg she cannot use it from the elbow down but otherwise is in great health for being 18. Triangle Pet was called by a neighbor who assumed she had recently been injured so they got a hold of her and called, Animal control officer took her and I did not find out this information till the next day, I called as soon as I knew were she was and then looked them up on line and started reading all this terrible stuff I was very worried and made some more calls let them know that I would sue if they put her to sleep. Then I finally got a call from them she was there and okay so I went down paid $40 and got her back. They told they were under new ownership and did not just put animals to sleep know. Anyway they took good care of my baby she was starving however she had food in the cage there but she probably would not eat it because she was scared and it was not Friskies what can I say she is a little spoiled oh an we are micro chipping next week. I WAS TOLD BY A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE FROM A RESCUE, THAT TRIANGLE PET GETS PAID ""PER BODY"". THEY DO NOT CARE IF THE ANIMAL IS MICRO CHIPPED, OR HAS A COLLAR ON!! DESPICABLE!! I WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING LOWER THAN ONE STAR! THEY TRAP AND KILL FERAL CATS WHERE EVER THEY FIND THEM INSTEAD OF CALLING A SHELTER TO HAVE THEM TRAPPED, SPAYED/NEUTERED, AND RELEASED. SO SAD THESE COLONY'S EXIST!! IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT......IT'S THE PEOPLE THAT THROW AWAY CATS OR KITTENS SO THEY HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITHOUT PEOPLE. WHY IS TRIANGLE PET STILL IN BUSINESS???? more

The mailman left my gate open on Friday afternoon. When I got home I let my 2 dogs out. They ran off through the open gate. I found 1 of the dogs that night. The other dog went missing. I called Triangle Pet 3 times during the weekend, left a message on Saturday and Sunday. I finally talked to someone the third time I called on Monday afternoon about 12:30. They told me my dog wasn't there. I went to the Humane Society to check for him there. He wasn't there either, but they told me to go to Triangle Pet and physically check for my dog. I got to Triangle Pet at about 2:00. I walked in, they let me look around. My dog was in the very first cage closest to the entrance. My dog is microchipped. I asked them when he got there and did they check for the chip. They didn't have any information for me at all. The guy told me that all he knows is thaat the dog was there now and they check every dog for a chip. He said that the chip must be bad or else they would've called me. I called his bluff. I asked him to scan my dog in front of me. He did. What do you know, his chip number came right up. Then they told me, they had the chip number already but the place they had to call to get my info was closed on the weekend so they had to wait til Monday. It's already 2:00 in the afternoon by now. Be serious you lazy jerks. You were just too lazy to scan the dog. Now, the fees for they're service are $80 initally for any dog they pick up, then $15 a day for storage. Lol. They tried charging me $125. I asked them how they arrived at that number. They told me it was the inital fee plus 3 day storage. I asked them how they can charge me for 3 days storage when they have no idea when the dog got there. After that, we settled on the inital fee of $80. I can't believe these people get paid for the horrible job they do. On top of all this my dog smells like he was playing in a pile of dog crap all weekend. And as soon as I got him home. He tore a hole in the side of the dog food bag to eat. He was starving. I've never seen him do that before so I'm speculating that they didnt feed him for how ever long he was down there. This place sucks. I hope you never lose a pet, but if you do, I really hope it doesn't end up here. more

I am from gibsonia pa, my dog was brought down there on saturday. I called down there to see if my dog was there on monday and the man i spoke to said no!! After speaking to this wonderful lady in my township at the police department in gibsonia she told me not to say that i am from gibsonia because they are not allowed in gibsonia because of all of the uthinizing they do. I called back today and said i was from hampton described my dog he said he would look and call me back. He called back about 10 minutes later and said yes my dog was there!! Ha go figure!! So if you are from gibsonia they so no because they are allowed there and dont care if the dog is from there. The only reason my dog was not uthinized is because the are so back logged with uthinizing.. I got so much info on them today its disgusting. And the place is so gross.. more

triangle should be shut down not just for bad treatment but bad employ treatment and scam dont pay cash people they pocket it. get reciepts from the company not the driver. more

All this place cares about is euthenizing animals whether they have a collar on or not!!! they capture cats and euthenize them without even giving thhem to the Animal rescue league to be put up for adoption. They are KILL HAPPY. My friends dog that ran away got caught by them and when she went there to get her dog they already put him down when she told them on the phone she'll be right there to pick him up! The dog had a collar on and they didnt care, they didnt even call her she called them to check if he was there. THIS PLACE IS SICK!!!!!! PLEASE SHUT THEM DOWN!!!! more

They are the best animal control that you can get in all of Allegheny County. If people would CHIP and make sure their animals have the proper identification they would not have to blame the officers for their neglect. If people would be responsible and not break the laws then you would have an easier time to get your animal back. People only make them out to be bad, but you know there response time is OUTSTANDING and VERY prompt. Because they are animal control officers they have to be harsh sometimes to get their POINT ACROSS to make sure that you are taking control and also being RESPONSBILE with your animal. My dog got loose 1 evening. I called every where and because my Patches was chipped. I received a prompt phone call from 1 of the gentlemen whom are employed at Triangle Pet. Very courteous and it uplifted the thought that something bad had happened to my puppy Thanks guys. Triangle pet is the cleanest kennel in Allegheny County. They keep all there contracts, so they must be doing something right...........However the employees are dog enforcing officers, so make sure you have license and rabies tags for your dogs or they will cite you! more

My dog was in their kennel and I called several times and left several messages to see when I could pick up my dog. A man called back and was extremely rude. He told me I couldn't pick up my dog, she was gonna be euthanized on the spot and she had to be quarantined and will be euthanized during that 10 day quarantine period (she didn't have her rabies tag on so they were going to quarantine her for 10 days) I picked her up the next morning, with proof of her shots and the guy I spoke to was saying he spoke to me the way he did because my dog is a Pittbull mix and they have a bad reputation. She was wagging her tail, giving them kisses when she left (even though I didn't want her too!) And told me they were sorry for what they said. Even though they apologized for their actions, these guys are not professional in any way, shape or form and they all seem like dirtballs and gang members with their tatoos on their faces. more

If your pet is lost, make sure they are Not at Triangle Pet. Animals are mistreated. If an animal is injured, they do not receive vet care and lay in pain waiting to be euthanized. Officers are afraid to touch the animals because they have no insurance. If an animal is injured and needs help, they only use a wire leash and nuse.\r This place needs to be put out of business!!!! Their rating is very poor, but this would only publish if I chose a star. Cons: Officers are mean and do not take care of injured pets. more

This place collects pets and will euthanize them, without calling you to inform you they have your lost pet. If you lose a pet, be sure to show up here IN PERSON to make sure they do not have it. Please let city council know that you do not want a place like this in Pittsburgh. They are inhumane and unnecessary. There was a trail of animal-blood leading from the building to a refrigerator outside. It is like something out of the worst horror movie you have ever seen. Pros: NONE!
