Tri-State Building Specialties

We had a sunroom installed a few years ago by this company, which was very expensive for what it is. One big selling point was the asurrance that if any of the screens became ripped, or the roof leaked, they were a local company that would be there to repair the leaks/screens, etc. This has never happened, even after literally 2 years calling for a leaky roof and ripped screen on one of the doors. They never respond, not even a phone call. Initially, they did return the call once saying I still owed for a permit, unbeknownst to me, which I paid along with an additional $250 dollars. Even after I paid the additional expense, they never did the repairs. A man was sent out to see the leak, and never returned, calls and online requests for service were never anwsered. Of course, this is after they cashed my check for the additional funds. They even left a yellow stain on the roof from glue which they said would be cleaned and never was to this day. I would never, ever refer this company after this experience. more

We had looked into finishing our unfinished basement for years and finally did it this fall. We are extremely satisfied with the job Tri-State Building Specialties did and highly reccommend them for anyone looking into basement finishing projects. more

Adding our sunroom was the best home improvement we could we could have made. We use it all the time for entertaining and holidays. Tri-State was wonderful. Even 6 years after the fact when a window seal broke they came out for repairs with no problems. They are a reputable company that we see year after year at Trade Shows. My suggestion to anyone considering doing business with Tri-State Building Specialties Inc. or considering a Tri-State Sunroom is to fully review the warranties prior to purchasing. Apparently, Tri-State expects that ""any"" glass panel, permanent or otherwise needs to be removed by the homeowner and brought to Tri-state's center for repair. Given this, I am not sure when their Lifetime Labor Warranty enters into effect, or if it ever does. Pros: Nice Sunroom Cons: Warranties more
