I had horribly drafty, cheap windows in my condo that would not lock and would literally blow in during heavy winds. I did a LOT of research and had 2 estimates before contacting Tri-State. The difference between Tri-State, Home Depot and Unified is astounding. First, the salesman showed me samples of window corners and immediately, you see the dramatic difference in the products. The Tri-State windows are incredibly superior in structure. The salesman also explained the warranty - it is a lifetime warranty that even extends to the new owners of your home when you sell. The energy rating is significantly higher than all the competitors. And the price difference for 4 large windows was only a couple hundred dollars, which I made up for with an Angie's List coupon. I had them installed today and am literally overwhelmed. Not only do I immediately feel the difference in warmth, I don't hear any outside noise. I live in Brooklyn with a bus stop outside my windows, which face a busy street and before, my condo apt. was really noisy but now it is so nice and quiet. I just increased the value of my home, and get a nice tax write off with the home improvement and the energy savings. Again, I did a TON of research and there is no comparison - Tri-State offers a product and warranty that is 100% better than anyone else in the area and for just maybe 5% more money, and well worth the small price difference. I could not be happier with the sales service, and the installation was quick and painless, and they did a great job of cleaning up after. A VERY satisfied customer! more

Tri-State took great care installing the windows and made sure that my mom was completely satisfied with the installation. Closing and opening The Windows are like pulling hair from butter, so easy. We have had installed super high performance, custom made, energy efficient windows and they already saved us good money on home heating & air conditioning costs. Today they finished installing new windows for my entire house and I must say that the job they did was unbelievable. Very professional, nice workers and great workmanship. Great experience with this company. i relplaced all the windows in my home and found their work to be neat and professional. I was dreading this project and they made it simple and were in and out in a day. Windows are superior quality and the company stands by their product. Price was very fair. No presuure from their salesman, Dan who was always available after I placed the order. I can't say enough good things about this Long Island based company, Wished I had done this project even sooner!! more

In an age of false advertising and empty promises, it is refreshing to find a company that stands behind its product and by it's word. I had been experiencing a problem with drafty, leaky windows which seemed to suck energy costs right thru my wallet and out of those worn out windows. After researching companies and looking at ads of the various window companies, I came upon the Tristate Window's ad and their claim that ""their new super high performance, energy efficient windows can save you enough to pay for themselves."" Being the sceptic that I am, I visited the Tristate Window factory in Deer Park and met with their Sales Manager, Andrew. and asked for a demonstration. Andrew gave me a tour of the factory, showed me the manufacturing process and demonstrated in detail how their windows could indeed, over timesaver me enough on energy bills to pay back the cost of the windows. more

Last fall Trisate Window Factory replaced all our windows and the patio door. The installation proved to be terriffic through a horrendous winter. All the windows were tight, maintained the warmth of the house and proved to be a formidable barrier to the exterior cold and wind. We got the high quality product we expected. Also the creative locks have proven to be a source of security. more

I recently had three windows done by another company who said that there windows were just as good if not better than Tri-State's. They were completely wrong. Although they also had a triple pane glass window at a lower price, the quality was very poor. I intentionaly only had three windows installed by them and three windows from Tri-State. What a difference in product. The Tri-State window is in so much higher quality they don't even compare. The cheaper windows have such thin vinyl, are drafty and the installation was poor. The butchers cracked all my moldings and damaged my walls. Tri-State on the other hand installed the windows from the outside in so the moldings would not have to be removed. There was no damage done to my walls during installation, Why does'nt everyone install this way? Anyway , I have 17 more windows to do in my home and have decided to have Tri-State Window Factory Corp do the work. I just wish I could return the other three windows back to the other guys. more

i am responding to the Atrimu review at city search. I am a 2 time customer of Tri State window factory first time i purchased from tri state was in the early 90's and it was ther weld tech 2000 window.This window was ther first generation vinyl window which was a standard window.Today Tri state manufactures a 5th generation window.Which means this window has been upgraded 5 times weld tech-2000 had 1/16 glass,metal spacer in between the glass which causes condensation because metal is highly conductive.This window also does not have low-e glass,and argon gas the window was sealed with one glazing sealed .The windows i purchased for my home in march 2010 was ther super high performance line Triple glass model 4200 series with a non metallic spacer in between the glass.This window is sealed with 2 glazing seals and filled with argon gas and foam filled frames.This window comes with a lifetime guarantee on labor and materials.I am a very satisfied customer i love my product.The windows that you have are ancient and need to be replaced.Also this new window has 1/8 glass double the thickness than the old ancient windows.cost more than the 20 year old window technology from 1990 that you referring and comes with life time warranty not the 10 year that you have which means you comparing apples with oranges more

I have been a kitchen remodeler for the last twenty years in Long Island. Over this time I have run into the Tri-State Window Factory product several times. Upon hearing nothing but positive information from my clients that have used them, I too have decided to learn more about them. I first started with visiting their factory in Deer Park. I was expecting a dirty old building with outdated machinery not this state of the art facility with new robotics and automated lines. I must say that even I was impressed with their layout and technology. They even had a clean room lke the computer manufactures use to make sure the insulated glass units are sealed dust free. The showroom had all the full size displays of each window type. This made it very easy for My wife and I to decide on either the bay or bow window for our living room. With all my knowledge of the construction industry and with much thought, we gave our order of 16 double hung windows, 1 bow window and 1 patio door to Tri-State Window Factory. We are very happy with our decision and would recommend them to anyone looking for windows. more

When my husband and I decided to get new windows we were overwhelmed by the new styles and types that are available. The last time we replaced our windows was nearly 20 years ago. We spoke with King Quality, Alpha, Window world and Tristate Window. Dan from Tristate Window was the only salesman to really explain the differences to us and let us decide what would be best. The other salesman spent more time attacking the competitors product rather than explain why we should consider theirs. One salesman did not even give us a formal quote, just some numbers written on looseleaf paper! What convinced us was the Lifetime Warranty Tristate sold us. Lifetime on the entire window for both parts and labor, including glass protection! The other companies claim to have lifetimes warranties, but they didn't include labor or parts. We are very happy with our windows from Tristate Window and would recommend them to everyone thinking about replacing their windows more

Had casement and slider windows installed in the 90s. noticed right away that I was having condensation problems. Had to have them replaced for free (10 year warranty) a couple of times because condensation gets between the panes and the window isn't clear anymore (dirty looking); the warranty has expired now and i'm stuck with the condensation problem. called them up to ask about this but would have to pay again to get them replaced. would not recommend since these replacement windows need to be replaced; bad home improvement investment. more
