This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Good food and fun for the entire family.

Not Good :( place must have gone down over time 10/5/2006

My girlfriend and I went there, we saw it driving around Panama City, and we Love Pirates of the Caribbean, so it looked great. We ate at Hooks at lunch, first of all half the tables were open, but we had to wait a half hour before we were seated. The ambiance severely lacked, tell the truth I've seen chain restaurants that have better ambiance. As far as the food, it was a step above Captains D's, which for the money was extremely over priced. My entrée there were a ton of shrimp but the shrimp quality reminded me of Costco or Sams Wholesale warehouse not of fresh seafood which by the way they had a dock right outside the door. My girlfriend had oysters, she did not get that many, they were almost stingy. The food was not good overall. :( The service was about the same, it took a long time to get our food and even longer to get our server to get our check. The only positive, I can say was their gift shop, I got a great Pirate T-shirt. I tried to see if they had an email on their website. I wanted to let them know of our experience. They didn't :( Overall our experience, I would never go there again and would not recommend it unless they did some severe changes. The word it reminded me of "Tourist Trap". more

The Treasure Ship - For Pirate Themed Night 4/14/2006

I am going to jump on the bandwagon and say that this is a great restaurant. While waiting you can explore the ship and have your picture taken with a giant wheel. It is more fun than it sounds. There are also pirates that walk around sometimes and entertain the kids. Another feature is a roving balloon artist who will make a dog or flower for you. Make sure to be polite to him even if he tells corny jokes. The food is pretty good, but the prices are a little steep in my opinion. The view is great and if you get there about sundown you get to watch the charter ships unload their catch. It is interesting to see if you are interested in fishing. Overall, it is a fun night and a great restaurant for families. more

The Treasure Ship 8/21/2005

A great restaurant! There are actually 3 restaurants on this huge boat. One is more of fine dining experience. The other two are more casual. Hook's Grille & Grog is indoor for a grill/bar atmosphere. The other is Capt. Crabby's. This is our favorite hot spot, especially when family is in town. You can eat inside or out on the top deck of the boat. The outside is great. They offer an all you can eat seafood menu. A little pricey, but well worth it! For the kids they have 'pirates' on the lower deck that offer face painting and balloons for donations only. A great beach experience! more
