Travelodge by Wyndham Redding CA

I read all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and thought I'd give this place a shot. Was I glad I did! The place I normally would stay in Redding was about $40.00 more a night and the rooms were almost the same. The thing that really made the difference for me was the girls at the front desk they were so helpful and even recommended one of the best places to eat we had on our trip. The place was layed out well. Very secure feeling and my wife thought it was the cleanest place we've ever stayed in. The pool was heated and it was just right. We enjoyed the spa and they had a few pieces of workout equipment (the wife used-ha) plus a good sized TV we watched while inn the tub. The breakfast offering at the place next door was very good. My job requires that I travel a lot. Usually I'm staying in an impersonal hotel with 200 rooms and a loud lounge on the property. On my last stay in Redding I stayed at the Travelodge and I felt like I was staying at home. The staff all called me by name. I felt like they actually wanted my business. And I slept like a baby. The management seems to be on top of keeping any noise to a minimum. Did I mention the price? I paid a good $30 less than I normally would at a place like Red Lion or La Quinta. Called Redding's best kept lodging secret - Come on ! But then I stayed there. IT WAS ! great place. Staff was exceptional. Our room was clean and spacious. The price was the best I'd gotten in town.
