Great service - great food 4/14/2009

I've been several times with family and friends. Everytime I've been pleased with food and service both. Their meet sauce is fantastic. I'm going again tonight! more

Terrible Service, Cold, Bad food 9/14/2006

My wife and I have dined in and taken out from this place. Both times terrible host service, waitstaff, poor food selection, flavor, value, and way overpriced. They have terrible garlic bread (no garlic), how can an Italian place screw that up! This is the worst italian place in the burbs. Go to Mickey Fins down the street or anywhere but this place! Pros: Location Cons: Ambience, Food, Service more

Great food in wonderful downtown Libertyville! 8/13/2005

This locally owned and operated Italian restaurant in downtown Libertyville is a great place for dinner - made even better if you are on the patio on a warm summer evening! Thus far, I've enjoyed everything I've had here on my multiple visits; I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you have. more

Barely fair 7/27/2002

I was really unimpressed with the food at Trattoria. My food came lukewarm, and the red sauce was really thin and not very flavorful. My wife's dinner was VERY bad, and she asked to send it back and get something else. The replacement dish she got was ok, but nothing special. I was really surprised that an independent Italian restaurant couldn't do better than this. The service, however, was very friendly. Pros: Service, Comfortable Seating, Nice dining room Cons: Poor food, Poor preparations more
