One of the greatest dining experiences ever 10/25/2010

I hear the people who felt unwelcome here and, in fact, had delayed going based on what they wrote, even though a good friend told me it was great. In fact, it turned out to be one of the great dining experiences ever. Over two evenings, with friends who are serious foodies, we explored the menu and wine list and were amazed. Eric and his staff were friendly and helpful, offering us suggestions on the menu and wine list. We ordered half portions of several dishes and paired them with some great Italian wines. The consensus of opinion was that we had experienced something extraordinary, something inspired. more

Friendly and efficient 10/5/2010

As soon as we walked in to the restaurant we were greeted by the owner, Eric. We were seated at the bar, based on our request. Not knowing a whole lot about wine, I asked Eric for help selecting the perfect wine for us. He was very friendly and efficient. more

Clearly number one 9/28/2010

While we ate at many great restaurants in Santa Fe, Trattoria Nostrani was clearly number one. The food was outstanding and Chef Nelli's early experience working with Charlie Trotter is certainly evident in every dish we were served. The wait staff was both professional and personable and everyone was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall It was a great experience made even better by a "no fragrance" policy that ensured we were able to enjoy our meal without having to deal with someone's over zealous application of perfume. We only wish more high end restaurants would adopt this rule. more

The execution is pure and simple, and by virtue of it's simplicity, extraordinary fare. The atmosphere is quiet, intimate, the service impeccable, informative and not overly solicitous. more

Many thanks for the No Fragrance policy! Exquisite Dining experience! 8/24/2010

A friend and I recently dined at Santa Fe's Trattoria Nostrani. As our first course was about to arrive, four women were seated nearby...at least one wearing very strong perfume. The smell was simply awful. We asked to move to another table. I was deeply grateful when the owner kindly reminded the women of the restaurant's no fragrance policy (which they had been informed of when making their reservation) and gently asked them to leave. I deeply respect this owner's choice to provide a pleasant atmosphere for guests, even when it means turning away business. Thank you! And by the way, the food was divine! more

Excellent experience 8/20/2010

If you are in Santa Fe and you want to experience food created with passion this place must be given the highest consideration, though if you can't think outside the box,consideration of the other patrons savoring their food,well it's your loss. more
