Not pleased with my cut or stylist 1/7/2012

I called in and was able to get an appointment within the hour, which was great bc I had an interview later in the morning. I had several friends tell me how eclectic and great the stylist's were here. Well the lady I got was on the know it, slightly rude side. Could have just her or the morning she had, nonetheless, I was not pleased with her. As for the cut, I told her not extremely short, and the back was well above my earlobes. ACK! I went from August when she cut it, to today Jan 7th to get a cut just let it grow out! Needless to say, I will not back and found someone who listened to my desires and did it perfectly! more

Seemed like a cute little salon. I had Kat as my stylist and was unimpressed. For the amount of years of experience I would have expected better, maybe just a bad day. My haircut was very uneven and was NOT an asymmetrical cut. I wasn't taken till an hour after my appointment and still no care was taken in my haircut. more

Anna rocks!! 6/24/2011

I love everything about Trashy Roots Salon! Just had my hair cut a couple days ago by Anna Craig – and I could not be happier! I always thought I had a “funky” wave in my hair – not curly, not really wavy, but hard to style. Turns out it wasn’t my hair that was the problem, but how I was getting it cut and the products I was using. Anna listened to what I wanted, gave me a fabulous cut, and introduced me to the Devacurl products and showed me how to use them. I’m happy to say that after doing my hair myself, it still looks as great as when Anna did it! And I have the wavy curl I’ve been trying to get forever. Plus, my hair smells awesome and it was easy, easy, easy! I’ve gotten so many compliments at work on my hair, and I’m loving my new summer cut. Best cut I’ve ever had. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have wavy/curly hair and can’t figure out how to get it to look great every day. more

Love my stylist Anna & the salon attitude! 6/23/2011

After so many years of having hairdressers who didn't get my curly hair, I finally found Anna! It is difficult to find a stylist of her level with the professionalism to match. Anna is extremely knowledgeable about curly hair, the products and trends. I have a cut that looks great whether I blow it straight, diffuse it curly, or just let it air dry. I use to hate my curls, but now I would rather style it curly than blow-dry it straight. Thanks Anna, you've given my hair new meaning! Another wonderful thing about the salon is they are continually raising money and giving donations to benefit the Texas Baptist Childrens Home & Chidlren's @ Heart Ministries. more

Love the Decor 6/23/2011

Love Love Love Trashy Roots! I was looking for a new hairstylist for myself and my young daughter. I was looking online and came across Trashy Roots. The name stood out so I thought we'd try it out. OMG!!! My daughter instantly fell in love with the decor. It was totally her style. Not to mention the hip looking stylists. Monique did my daughters hair and she did a fantastic job. I went back a few months later for myself and went to Abby. I have NEVER been as happy with my hair as I was after Abby got done with it. She did a wonderful job. I had a wedding that I was in a few months later so I had gone back to Abby. She totally ROCKED my hair. I got sooo many compliments on it. I will be seeing her again this Saturday and can't wait to see the results!! more

Love my stylist Ashley! 6/22/2011

Girls, if you are looking for a new hairdo... you've got to try going to Trashy Roots Salon. I was ready for a new change and ready cut my long locks off after 5 years. Ashley helped me with the BEST cut every, a medium bob. I get SO many compliments on it and it is truly easy to style and get on with my day! WIth the Texas heat and all my concerns Ashley new just what to do to make me love my hair. Plus, they are so easy to get to, just right off the Toll 45 and IH 35. Love it LOVE it.... LOVE IT! ~ Thanks again Ashley! more

I don't go to anyone else. She has been doing my hair for over 4 years. I trust her with my hair. I don't have to give her any instruction, she knows what I like and always gives me awesome new ideas to change my hair up so it doesn't ever get boring. more

Trashy Roots is an awesome place that is not super expensive!! Monique has been my stylist for a few years now and she never lets me down! She was the only hair stylist I could find that could fix a problem that I had with my hair! I tried many stylists and not one knew what to do besides her! She is the nicest person and always knows what to do!! Its hard to find a stylist that knows how to do a retro/ punk look that can ALSO do a more classic/ preppy look and SHE CAN!! Monique is the best!!! more

I just had my hair cut, colored and blown out for an event. She did the most amazing job. My color looks super natural and the style is so cute. DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON.. I ASKED HER FOR CERTAIN HAIRCUT I ASKED HER NOT TO CUT MY BANGS. AFTER SHE CUT MY BANGS AND MY HAIR WAS ALL CROCKED SHE SAID OH WELL THE BANGS ARE IN STYLE RIGHT NOW AND YOU LOOK GREAT.. I DID NOT WANT BANGS. I WAS SO MAD. A COUPLE OF MY FRIENDS USED TO GO TO HER BUT SHE DID THE SAME KINDA OF STUFF WITH THEM TOO. more

THE BEST 6/4/2010

I came in to the salon about 7mnths ago as a walk-in for a major hair disaster that another Salon had done. I was teamed up w/ Monique Fujita, and boy did she do some Magic and I was VERY VERY VERY IMPRESSED. I came back every since then, because what ever I want she will do and. She has done wonders for my daughters and sister also. She defently brought a smile every time we have came. We always leave happy and a little confident. Also Melissa worked magic on my eyebrows. With a wedding coming up in Oct. I'm excited to see what they can do for my wedding party. Its such a warm and welcoming invornment. And so very clean. They offer many more servies. So anything you want they can do it. Love that AWESOME work you do for my hot mess of hair Monique. Pros: EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM Cons: NONE! ! ! more

The Best EVER!!!!! 6/2/2010

Anna has been my hair stylist for almost 3 years! Who can say they have been with their stylist that long? The place is organized, fun, trendy, and you can tell that people love what they do there. Anna remembers everything and has a great personality. The place is amazing and inviting and just makes you have fun. She does a lot of my friends hair and Everyone Loves what she does. She has created a great cliental for herself and everyone is passionate about what they do. Anna only expects the best! My hair has never been happier and I always get complements. Anna is my Stylist, she is so wonderful. If my hair looks great I look great. She always has new ideas for me and stears me away from things that won't look good on me. Best haircut hands down. The best! 3/25/2010

I also followed Anna from her old spot and am so happy she has her own place now! It's the best environment. She is the only person I trust to touch my hair since 2007. I always love it. She even did my wedding up do and I am sooo picky! It was gorgeous! She knows her stuff! I also take my 4 year old daughter there and she is made to feel like a princess- for a good price. You can not get better salon quality cut, color, product, and service for the prices here! I will never go anywhere else. I have sent at least 10 of my friends who all came out happy as well. I love this salon 1/5/2010

I have been coming to this salon from the day it has opened and I have followed Anna from her previous salon, I wouldn't go to anyone else. I love this place. The staff is friendly, the salon is so clean, and the service is unbeatable. I love the casual vibe, it's not pretentious. It's just a great place to get your hair done. Client for over a year 9/1/2009

I've been going to Trashy Roots for about a year now and have been nothing but satisfied. I usually see Anna but she is booked several weeks in advance so I have seen several other stylists there also. What I really like is that they save your color formula in their computer so if you see someone besides your regular stylist they can't mess up your hair. I go in every 3 weeks for touch ups and not only does my hair look great they are actually affordable. I highly recommend trying this place is if you get your hair colored or highlighted regularly. Best salon in Round Rock, hands down. Pros: Real people, great color and prices more

I just wanted to thank the stylists at Trashy Roots. The cutathon you held for the Baptist Home was so great. I think what you are doing is so good for the community. Kelly cut my hair and it was fantastic. I really hope you raised a lot of money for them. It's so nice to see people thinking of others instead of just themselves. this place is terrible 7/17/2009

I've been here twice and both times have been less than happy experiences. The stylist that was working on me had "personal" problem that day and was talking to me endlessly about it. The cut was choppy and uneven. When I washed my hair once, it's HORRIBLE!!! It's like a MOP at the ends! It's much worse than what I had. It's like some amateur cutting the hair. I went back a second time to get it fixed and I think the girl who was in charge there attempted to fix my mess of a hair do but it only made it worst. Sitting there and getting yanked on staring at the creepy skulls everywhere didn't make it any better. Cons: unskilled staff, weird decor more
