My son and I were horribly insulted and belittled by one of the salesman. My son was to told on Day 1 that if he brought in a $2,000 down payment he could get a 2014 Kia. Day 2 I went with him to verify this and they told me that they could not tell me anything until I brought in the down payment. Day 3 we have the $2,000 down payment and they wanted to put him in a 2012 200 Chrysler and if he wanted to get the 2014 Kia he would need $6,000 down. His credit is very good but low income ( teaching him to monitor and guard his credit) and is Pre-Med at University of Mary-Harden Baylor. I told the salesman that I was not able to be a co-signer. The salesman assumed that a was a CNA, I'm an 8 year nurse. He went as far as to tell me that I should have made better choices so that I would be able to help my son. For 3 days my son was lead to believe that getting the vehicle was possible, Only to be Shot down by being told a ridiculously, insulting down payment for a $16,600 car.
