I have been to several Trader Joe's, and this one is far too small and crowded. Everyone in Media seems to love this place, so the lines are always long, but there is no selection. They don't even sell fresh basil leaves, or any kind of breading crumbs. While some of the foods they have are interesting, it's mostly not worth it to go here because you have to make a separate trip to the grocery store for everything they don't have. Would go to Whole Foods instead. more

Quality at low prices 1/15/2006

Trade Joe's in Media is a small grocery store that carries low priced, healthy and organic food. You can't beat their prices. They have everyday low prices instead of the traditional weekly sales. Many of their products are their own brand and I have never been disappointed with the quality. Also, make sure you try the samples they give out at the tasting area. more

great store in products and look. 9/23/2005

There is no doubt that trader joes has some of the cheapest healthy food options around. This is not a place where you can do all of your grocery shopping, but it should be on the list because of their cheap selections of organic, vegetarian, and vegan foods. This location is also great. It is in an old armory building right off of the 101 trolley. The building is quite nice to look at, making the shopping experience all the better. more

Great Fun and Great Food 9/11/2005

If you've never been to a Trader Joe's Grocery Store, you are in for a big surprise. Joe's specializes in healthy, inexpensive food, prepared and otherwise. Don't expect a large selection within a product, Joe's sells its own brand merchandise and a limited amount of other brands. I think the best deal in Trader Joe's is the cheese case. There is a very large selection of gourmet cheese, packaged in smaller sizes and with unbelievably low pricing. Other favorite items include their coffee, teas, sesame crackers, kids cereals and granola bars and frozen vegetables. Don't miss the tasting bar, where you can sample the newest product before you buy ! more
