AMAZING clothes and accessories - absolute best ""boutique"" in L.A.!, bar none!! 3/8/2008

THE BEST IN TOWN!!! The name is always associated with the hippest and coolest clothes, and I've read about Tracey Ross in plenty of magazines and fashion sections, but for some crazy reason, I had never been in the store until this week. My boyfriend went in recently to buy me something and Tracey actually helped him pick out an amazing outfit. So... I went in for myself. Wow! Tracey's store is without a doubt the hippest and grooviest in L.A. - and believe me, I know my stores. There is a reason why Tracey Ross is known as the fashion go-to girl and why so many fantastic designers credit her with ""discovering"" them. The girl has it going on! Incredible one-of-a-kind eclectic collection. Not your usual department store grind. Tracey was amazingly friendly, and she and another salesgirl were so warm and treated me like an old girlfriend - a welcome change from those snobby Beverly Hills ""do it yourself"" boutiques or the chaos of a department store. They showed me things that worked for me, and that worked my assets, not just items that would make them a sale. I can't say enough good things about this place. I am a true new fan and plan to shop here A LOT! Now I know why Tracey Ross gets all the terrific press she does and why celebrities shop here. But it's also for the rest of us, too. They also have some incredible pieces and gifts other than clothes. But then again... THE CLOTHES! I want them all! Did I mention the shoes???!! Really, gals - a not to miss experience if you really dig great stuff that you won't see anywhere else. I recommend you check it out and see for yourself. more

What's All The Fuss About? 11/26/2007

This store is dark, the clothes are all crammed into a few small racks and I just felt like I couldn't tell what I was looking at and it distracted me. I am sure I am not the typical customer here, because I wasn't about to pay these prices. But after reading Steve Lopez column in the LA Times about the Beverly Hills stores on Rodeo and the stuff rich people buy, I guess somebody wants to shop here. Maybe I missed something, but it isn't any great shakes. Cons: Maybe you get what you pay for? I mean, these are just clothes.... more

If you're like Carrie Bradshaw.... 11/25/2007

... then you'll like this store. I was told that the salespeople here are rude, but when I stopped by they were nice. The store itself is dimly lit, which is a bit of a departure for most boutiques. The selection of designers is impressive --everyone from Stella McCartney to Anna Sui to Y3. The prices can be equally phenomenal, so if you're not in the market for a $100+ tank top, you might wanna head across the street to H&M. Pros: Great designers Cons: Will cost you a mini-fortune more

Love the clothes! 1/16/2007

I walked by this little shop many times, on my way to work and just loved the outfits on display...I finally went in one day and although the prices will never fit my budget, I expected them to be this high, it is Sunset by the way....yet, the people that work there are nice and friendly...the clothes cute and modern, some very elegant without trying too hard... Pros: nice pieces Cons: a bit pricey for the low-income more

Great Shop 7/1/2006

Tracey Ross is one of the best shops that you will find. It has a good variety and the staff are actually really nice (at least they were when i was there) The shop has a lot of brand names and they are quite expensive, but what do you expect. All the celebrities shop there, so of course it's going to be expensive. I've also met Tracey and she is one of the nicest people that you will ever meet. She (and the shop asssistants) make sure that you have a great time when you are there. Pros: nice staff, good variety, not that bad pricing more

Not Impressed, honest 5/31/2003

I shop a lot around town and looked forward to finally getting up to sunset's little shopping area. Since Tracey Ross is like the grandmother of chic boutiques here, I was expecting big things, but her selection was honestly a little meek and tired - just a hare of this and that. Great selection of Jimmy Choos though - but the rest wasn't incredibly awesome. Maybe i missed something, but alas, I would probably just stick to the stuff near my house. Pros: great name, reputation, hip area Cons: slight selection more

Spare me! 10/22/2002

I didn't realize I was invisible until I walked into this store or should I say witch's lair. I wonder what it would take to get waited on? I am sure if I was Gwenyth, the salesgirls would pull the same too cool for school routine. Ladies take your money (and I had plenty to spend- too bad they didn't care) and go buy your $700 pants somewhere else. I hope Ms. Ross knows that her staff (which includes her sister) is not interested in her income. Cons: attitude, bad selection more

bigspender 7/25/2002

I have to admit that i have yet to purshase as many dresses as i would like. My closet can only hold 60 hangers or so. I need to buy an additional rack for all the clothes i need. (want). This is a new find for me this year, and i got carried away. I'm now waiting for aol to bring me a Tracey Ross website. I will have my credit card paid up by Christmas. Pros: variety, style, fit more
