This place commits the number one sin in my book... The ethnicity does not match the food as advertised. This is my biggest pet peeve. I don't care how good the food tastes. If the owners are not the same as what it says on the door, all credibility might as well go out through it. As a matter of fact, sometimes I go to these types place establishments and speak to them in Japanese (even though I'm not even Japanese myself), and they have no clue what I'm talking about. So, how authentic is that?! more

The Best Sushi in the Bay 8/11/2005

This is the best sushi around. Sure, Blowfish may be much more fancy, but Tomodachi makes up for it in its pricing. Tomodachi is still relatively new so everything is very clean and it offers a very warm home-like environment. They have a variety of special sushi that are so fresh that you'll think the fish is still alive. Without actually looking at the fish, you can tell that the fish is fresh just from the crisp sound of the chef's blade slicing the fish. more
