We just went to Toys R Us to get our son a bike. Granted there wasn't anyone in the bike area to help us, but the bikes are out relatively easily to test out, and my son found one he liked pretty quickly. Then you take the ticket up to the cash register. Our cashier, Anna, was really good, and told us all about how to get our bike and have them assemble it (for a $10 fee). They also have a buyer protection that for $8.99 will cover the bike for a year. Then you go to customer service to "register" your purchase, and if they assemble it, it's assembled by the next day. We just went back to pick it up and my son loves it!
