On a cross country road trip my ""smart"" key, unbeknownst to me, accidentally fell off a faulty key chain while we were retrieving food from our cooler in the back. It was still in ""detection"" range when we drove off. 70 miles later, we stopped at a rest stop and shut off the car. That's when we realized the key was gone and we were stuck in 109F heat in Texas. Called Toyota Care who said our nearest dealership was in Boerne, TX, 30 miles away. It was 7:00PM. Called the dealership and spoke to Shawn Vaughan the Sales Manager. He said he would call his parts manager at home and see if a key was in stock. He WAITED at the dealership for us - we arrived at 8:30, they close at 8:00PM!! He had booked a hotel room for us and gave us loaner car to get there - and said the key was not in stock but would send his parts department to the closest dealership nearby in San Antonio to pick it up at 7 AM so we could be on our way. I have never ever experienced such helpful and courteous service. I wish I lived here so I could bring my car here forever. This dealership is just AWESOME. Mike Quinn, my service manger was also just AWESOME. If you are wondering who to buy from - I would say you couldn't do better. Also, I LOVE my 2010 Prius which has had nothing go wrong with it mechanically whatsover. Been great on this road trip. I can't thank Boerne Toyota for all they did for us.
