Toy Shop Of Cypress

The mechanic at the Toy Shop, Robert, is honest, skilled and really nice. He fixed an annoying misfire problem with my Pontiac Vibe (which is a Toyota Matrix that Pontiac put its name and a roof rack on). The GM dealer couldn't figure it out, Toyota dealers wouldn't touch it because it didn't say Toyota on it, and another mechanic claimed my computer chip was bad--and it would cost $1,000 to fix--and he couldn't guarantee it would fix the problem. I noticed the Toy Shop next to where I get my tires and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did! Robert said my computer chip was fine and scoped healthy on his scan tool--which he set to a Toyota Matrix (could be why other mechanics scoping it as a Pontiac had so much trouble!). Robert fixed the problem I had been suffering with for months by giving me a proper tune up and exchanging my off-brand spark plugs with ones that belonged in a Matrix. And the total bill was only $239--which included the diagnostics, labor, spark plugs, an oil change and air & cabin filter replacement! more

I am very particular about who I have work on my car. It is so hard to find a car mechanic that you can fully trust. Robert is a mechanic that I can trust. He has worked on my 1997 Toyota Camry since 2002. He has always been straightforward with me, letting me know what repairs that have to be made and what repairs that can wait. I really appreciate that about him. Also, he is very aware of the high cost of repairs and tries to be cost effective in my favor. Robert is dependable and always tries to accommodate me when possible. My future cars will be Toyotas so I can continue to use Robert as my car mechanic. more

I have been taking my Toyotas to Robert at the Toy Shop for over 15 years. My last Toyota was a 1986 Cressida that I got 300,000 miles out of and I would have tried to get more, but Robert advised me to get a new car. I took Robert's advice an bought a 2001 Toyota Avalon and he has done all the maintainence on that car since day one. I like Toyotas and I like the Toy Shop, I don't buy any other brand and I don't take them anywhere else for service. I can give the Toy Shop no other rating than the highest. more
