Towson Woods Apartments

My daughter reserved 3 bedroom apartment after being showed the BEAUTIFUL model apartment. She was so excited about moving in,but when she was given the keys to her actual apartment and walked in, her heart sank and she was sick! Filthy! Walls were marked everywhere! Looked like a tenement - dark, dreary, dirty! Luckily she found another apartment and received security and first month's rent back. Daughter recently moved in to this place. Apartment is filthy, lights are out, water is dripping outside creating a health and safety hazard. To top it off, had my car towed by a company that is a scam because I supposedly parked in an illegal space that was unmarked, dark since it was 9:40 p.m. at night, and no signs posted that it was illegal to park where I parked. Cost me $220.00 to get my SUV back. Called towing service about the illegality of the tow requesting my money back and was told that that would not happen. He also told me that all towings are videotaped, but as of this time he has not produced the video supporting the evidence. My guess is that it is a lie and that they do not videotape or that the videotape proves that I was not illegally parked and that no signs ( there are none) are posted anywhere near the SUV stating that it is a no parking/tow away zone. All that being said, in less than 10 hours I have talked to 5 people where they were also towed and scamed. Beware if you visit this complex. Pros: None that I have seen in my one and last visit. Cons: I have seen better conditions in less affluent neighborhoods. more

Make sure you see the actual apartment you will be renting, not just the model. We looked at the model several times before moving my daughter into her apartment. Unfortunately, the one she and her roommates got was not in 'model' shape. Just to name a few of the major concerns: The fire escape door did not lock, giving access to their patio and apartment to ANYONE. The one patio door was also broken. There was a screen broken from one of the patio doors and a screen missing from the other patio door. The front door frame is totally distroyed and even though there is a deadbolt on the door, it does not secure properly. The Air Conditioner is broken. The grout in the bathroom tile floor is black with mildew. The carpets were never cleaned or even vacuumed. The blinds in the living room are so dirty, you can see the dirt from the other side of the room. The bottom of the cupboard under the kitchen sink is warped and mildewed. There is a cover missing from the florescent light in the kitchen. Oh yeah....did I forget to mention the rodents and all the little terds on the kitchen counters? We (all the parents involved and the girls in this apartment) have contacted the apartment management and maintenance numerous times with no luck. So far, the only thing they have done is fixed the fire escape door. However, the patio door and front door have still not been repaired.....leaving this apartment (with 4 young girls) very UNSECURED! more
