Our addition was 8 years ago, and I am just now moving my office into the room we added on--it was a bedroom before the move. Every wall socket is loose, and some don't fit. A workman named Dave, short Hispanic guy, who I (and my mother, who worked with the same man at Tower 2 years later) found cocky and a poor listener, was very hard to work with, and in the end, did not do his job well leaving me to do the finishing work.
But worse than that, when we paid off our house a few years ago we found that Tower Electric had put a lien on our house (for late payment of $500 of extras on the $5000 base already paid)--if I recall, the payment was ""late"" because they had not finished the work (as I am still discovering!). But, we paid them, within 6 months of the work being done, but they forgot to remove the lien they put on our house. We only discovered it when we went to get the title for our house. We never knew there was a lien on our house, nor that they forgot to remove it. Wonder if that messed up my credit--I don't know.
But I would rather do the work myself next time than work with a firm with sloppy, cocky employees and an aggressive yet forgetful billing department. No one seemed to be able to do the job well without being aggressive and forgetful.
