Torq

I took my car into Paul at Torq in Miramar and my experience was stellar! Not only did I see a HP and Torque boost from my other tune. The biggest difference in my opinion was the immediate change in how the car shifted, the response to throttle input, and overall feel of the car. Paul was amazing. He walked me through everything he was doing. I felt confident he was really getting everything he could. All I have is the Steeda CAI and a Steeda/Kooks Axleback exhaust. The power he gave me was all the way from low end to high. I even had to change my pedal action cause I was letting the rear tires loose in 1st through 3rd. I have the stock 18's with the Pzeros, I am sure some stickier tires would really get all the power down. This car feels like it should now in my opinion. I think the numbers where about right for a CAI and minor exhaust 365HP and 319TQ but almost completely across the RPM range. I can't imagine what Paul could do with more time and a custom Dyno tune. When I get my longtubes I will probably spring for the dyno tune from Paul. He even called me later that evening to see after more driving if I had any new findings or any issues. That in my opinion is serious Customer Service!! They have earned my continued business. more

Through troubles in the past with tuners and overall help from a shop when needed, Paul and Erik were great from the start. Great people as a company as well as racers at the track. Had some issues with tuning all started in a small modification and that current tuner couldn't help. With Paul on vacation for the holiday's, he worked with me to get a tune. ON THE PLANE'S WIFI, he sent me the tune to get the car started and running great! Couldn't be more happy with where the car is at for racing. Thanks to some great help and good friends!!! more

Torq Speedlab is a modern, clean, well organized speed shop for any type vehicle. The staff of Paul, Erik, and Mark are extremely knowledgeable about any type mod or upgrade for your engine, drive train or suspension. They have a modern Mustang Dyno and their artistry on tuning vehicles is unmatched. I have close to a hundred grand in my 2010 Camaro and they have coaxed over 700 HP out of my engine. Today I went up to Miramar to pick up my baby. I originally dropped off my car at Torq on November 29th and they began their first R&D project with me dubbed the RTC-630. Since the day I dropped the car off, I was able to receive daily updates regarding the progress of my build and they helped me learn quite a bit about my car and also taught me a lot about headwork and cams. Their dedication to getting this project done quickly and done right is something that is not typical of any shop, especially any that is as big and busy as they are. They always pointed me in the right direction and the combined efforts of Mark (tech), Paul, and Erik resulted in what is the most amazing car that I have ever had the pleasure of owning, let alone driving in my life. The final number for the car was 518rwhp, which was exactly 90rwhp over stock on my car... but that is not what impressed me. What makes me still stand here in disbelief (until I drive it again) is the fact that I don't feel comfortable driving the car without TC and Active Handling ON, and I mean that in the very best of ways. The power that was picked up in the midrange is something that I would only expect from a large displacement supercharger or a continuous hit of nitrous, and boy oh boy was I in for a real treat! The street manners of this car, even with such a thorough n/a build, are nearly the same as stock. I just learned how to drive stick about two months ago, and having a cammed car and being able to drive it with nearly identical motions as stock is truly a thing of beauty. I have had two different cars tuned by three different tuners, and Paul Meister is by far the most dedicated and thorough tuner I have met yet. His passion for absolute perfection is something anyone can appreciate... just to think that someone wants your car to drive and perform incredibly just as much as you do is calming and reassuring, and those are two things many of us can't do in today's age. Torq has my full and complete backing and I stand 100% behind them for this package as the best N/A street package in the market, bar none! These guys are true professionals. Not only do they know how to get the most out of a car, they also understand exactly where I am going in my mods. They only recommend what they have tested on track themselves and know will work. They have my absolute full confidence. My car is screaming and I will log the differences next week at PBIR. wanted to take some time to thank paul and eric for the great customer service. I called them to get thier help on selecting a cam for my 2010 camaro that would fit my combo. Paul speced out a cam and sent me everything i need to install. Paul amswer all my questions and helped me threw the whole swap. Went to see paul... today with the car to get it tuned and couldnt believe the time he spent on tuning my car. He spent most of the day making sure it was perfect. We ran into a fuel problem and paul is taking care of getting me the right parts i need to resolve my fuel problems. i couldnt be happier with the service and they way this car runs now. His tune is by far better then the one i had done at another dyno shop. If you are looking for a great performance shop give paul or eric a call. I am a local from Ft. Lauderdale & I have been a customer of Torq in Miramar Fl. for almost a year now. I initially found Torq while searching the internet for alternatives to the shop I had been frequenting for the previous 2 months. I found the hard way that the shop I was dealing with for those 2 months had a bigger reputation on the windshields of cars at local shows than their reliability & level of customer service could adequately support. I called Torq, explained what I was looking for in a shop & that I had recently acquired a centrifugal supercharger kit which my wife thought I should have professionally installed. We spoke on the phone for merely 5-6 minutes but in that time the things I heard relative to the level of service which was standard regardless of the size or expense of the job had me too curious not to stop in & see for myself. Based on past performance alone I was simply not going to chance the supercharger install with the shop I had been using in Palm Beach so immediately after the phone call, my wife & I drove over to Torq; on a Saturday no less?!?! After about 15 minutes of sharing stories, expressing my expectations, having a tour of the facilities & seeing all the very nice cars they were already working on, we all shook hands, stated I'd be in touch early next week one way or the other & my wife & I left. Though we made no promises to the guys at Torq during that brief meeting, I had already made up my mind as to who was going to work on the Mustang. We weren't even out of the park spot when my wife looked at me & said, "I feel very comfortable with these guys so they have my vote." Nearly a year later both my wife & I have no concerns whatsoever leaving the car at the shop no matter how long they need it and we never worry about how the job will turn out because they send e-mail pics as the work progresses. I even got a CD just last night of the most recent job...the Mustang loves going to Torq & my wife & I will never go anywhere else! Just because it was too easy & waay fairly priced, I decided to replace my year old tires with 4 really nice sticky tires to handle the 400 plus horepower the mustang now has. They deliveded the car with the tires mounted & balanced & the alignment already done! You can't beat Torq! P.S. On the way to work a few weeks ago my 7 year old F-150 started acting crazy & lost nearly all its power so I frantically called Torq from my cell & I was assured over the phone they could fix it & not to worry. They got the car in w/in 2 hours of my call & had it done at lunch time that very day so you see they don't just work on the fancy expensive cars & race cars, they work on anything having wheels & an engine from what I can tell. My pick-up never ran better than it does now...my gas mileage even picked up! more
