Editorial review from Citysearch 3/30/2014

Had dinner here tonight. Our oldest sons first experience with crab legs....he fell in love! Service was great! Our youngest, who isn't even 2 yet was a little loud, which is why chose to go early on a sunday evening.... and despite a few off putting lools from other diners, the staff was fabulous about it. The kitchen manager came out cleaned up around our sons seat chatted up both kids amd even got a few giggles and brought both boys a huge slice of chocolate cake! Our whole family will definitely be back! more

Great Seafood and now Italian Food is on the menu 12/12/2011

I have had the pleasure of eating out a lot and Tony's is one of my favorite Cary restaurants! I love the fact that the owner is in the litchen cooking and when not, out in the dining room greating patrons. The atmosphere is great especially on the wekends. We love to stay late and dance to one of the great bands who play there. Doesn't matter what band... they all play my favorite dance music. If you have a chance, you should go and support locally owned businesses instead of chains. more

The Worst Server!! 5/26/2011

Our group of 9 family members (6 visiting from out of state) went to celebrate our nephew graduating from high school. more

Great Food & Service! 2/1/2011

My company recently hosted a dinner here and I was very impressed. The food was excellent and I cannot say enough about the service by both the bar and the wait staff. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. Will definately go back! more

Great Time on New Year's Eve! 1/10/2011

We enjoyed a wonderful meal of ""Red Beans and Rice"" and a peck of oysters (lightly steamed) at the Oyster Bar on New Year's Eve. At 10:30 the ""Lawn Darts"" put on a great show that carried us into the New Year! We have been back twice since that night. They also just renovated the bathrooms and painted the restaurant and private dining rooms. The new menu and the new website are fantastic with all of our favorites and few new items from chef Gino Russo. We are now regulars on Wednesday night. more

Great Food and Wonderful Service! 1/10/2011

A friend and I went to Tony?s early one evening and had their ? price appetizers. Price can?t be beat and the taste was amazing! Definitely recommend the Ahi Tuna and Calamari. They had a Swordfish special that night and we tried it. Awesome! Best fish I?ve ever had! Very friendly staff. The Chef even came by and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. OMG! I told him the Tuna and Swordfish rocked! You can tell they were very appreciative of our business. A must place to have dinner. Will be back again soon! more

This place rocks! Great food and good live music 1/10/2011

Tony's has really stepped up their game. The new decor looks great and the new menu items that we ordered were great. I recommend the italian dishes and the tuna appetizer. more

Irresponsible management and security 12/19/2010

I was at Tony's last night and some poor girl overdid the Xmas cheer and was so seriously drunk, she was unconscious and men had to carry her out of the ladies bathroom. They were trying hard to get her to come to. What were the waitresses doing in the meantime? Standing there watching with folded arms. The security guard? Watching from afar. Several people told the waitresses and security guy that this was a serious situation and they needed to call 911 but they just stood there watching. Finally some patrons called 911. One person went up to the guard and said you need to take responsibility and call 911 and he just waved his arm and blew her off. I hope the girl made it. Tony's has alot of fights on weekends and it almost seems the management likes it to go on for bit, like a show, before intervening. Personally I am scared to be there after 1:00 a.m.! more

Yummy but not N'Awlins 5/11/2010

Growing up in New Orleans food is very important to a girl like me but not so much to the Yankee I married. When I found a Tony's I thought I maybe I found taste of home. .. not so much. Pros: Friendly bartender, great specials Cons: not anywhere close to New Orleans food more

Great Oyster Bar and good service 11/4/2008

Wow, from the Oyster Bar to the regular bar to the restarant. The food is alway very good if not to die for. You will want a sitter for the kid's. Pros: Oyster's, Crab legs, shrimp.....lol Great spot!!! Cons: not for the kids more

Horrible service ruined my parents' 41st anniversary dinner 1/26/2008

My parents are quite frequent diners at Tony's, so it was not a surprise that they chose to go there for their 41st anniversary dinner tonight. The restaurant doesn't take reservations for groups under four, so they had to wait about 30 minutes..which was not a problem. However, once they were seated and had ordered, they seemed to have been forgotten about. After waiting 15, 30, 45 minutes they flagged down the waiter and were given some lame excuse and basically blown off being told the food would get there when it got there. Meanwhile, several other couples had been seated and had been served their food. Finally, after having been seated and waiting for an hour, they got up to leave. They asked for a manager, who came out and proceeded to treat them much as the waiter had...blowing them off, even after being told it was their anniversary dinner. Needless to say, they won't be going back...nor will my family be going there at any time. Someone needs to sign their employees up for customer service classes. Pros: Food Cons: Service, management more

Horrible waitress 3/24/2007

I would never recommend this place to a friend. I had such a bad experience. I can say that the bartender who was petite with brown hair was great. She was friendly and really on the ball. Pros: good band Cons: not a friendly staff more

You'd think a place called Tony's Bourbon St. Oyster Bar would serve New Orleans food. They don't. 2/20/2007

As a New Orleans native, I can say with great assurance that this food is from some other place entirely(Cary, I guess). Pros: Service was okay Cons: Bad food that didn't even resemble how we do it in NOLA more

Not very friendly 10/21/2006

I went to Tony's for the first time and it was a stressful experience. The hostesses were so stressed out about the dinner rush they did not have time to greet or give a pleasant smile. I am a lover of good cutomer service and was not very happy when I left. Pros: Good food Cons: Not so friendly workers more

Problem with Food Temperature 3/20/2006

Food was served after cooling; had to be sent back twice. Pros: Great oyster bar Cons: Cold entrees more

Disappointment 1/16/2006

My husband and I went there last weekend. Our waitress was not attentive at all; it seemed as if she were working against her will. Although the portion size is generous, the food did taste below average. My dinner, rice and BBQ shrimp, did not come hot, it was room temperature. more

GREAT!!! 7/25/2005

I was impressed with full dining expierience. The food and service was awesome!!! Let me reccomend the crab dip or fried alligator for an app., the French quarter or the captin's platter for the main meal and bannanas foster for dessert. Also there almost always is a fun band on the weekends, can get a little crazy after 10 on Friday and Sat!! Also Jim is the best bartender ever......go check out the scene and you will enjoy yourself. Pros: GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE, ENTERTAINMENT Cons: HOT BATHROOM, DITZY HOSTESS more
