Great cut and wax 6/1/2011

I get my hair cut by Ashley at Tonya Jones and my eyebrows waxed by Angela at Tonya Jones. Angela first waxed my eyebrows the day before my wedding and I have been using her ever since. Her work space is clean, she is professional, and always does a great job. I recently switched hair stylists and began using Ashley. She always does an excellent job cutting my hair and making it look great. She is professional, highly skilled, friendly, and also gives a great scalp massage with the hair wash. These two ladies always make me look and feel great! more

Tonya Jones is by far the best Aveda salon in the Birmingham area. Tonya's attention to detail is unsurpassed. She takes the time to ensure each and every client is well cared for. No cookie cutter styling or assembly line cuts here. She takes time to make certain that your money is well spent. She's one of the hardest working owners I've ever known. Her staff is friendly and well informed. Sometimes the girls at the front are a bit distracted, but its usually because they are such a busy salon. I've never walked out of this place that I didn't absolutely love my hair. more

First experience at Tonya Jones/Aveda Salon 5/23/2011

Not at all what I would have expected from this salon. I came in for a wash and style and ended up coming home to style my hair myself. The stylist was not able to fix my hair in a simple half-up/half-down way that should be normal routine with all stylists. Entirely too much product was used which gave a very oily/dirty look to my hair. A very simple style that I was wanting was not achieved and products which may have been good were used excessively. more
