tony can't be beat! 5/18/2012

Brought in 2 pairs of sandals I'd fiddled with at home (taking out the middle thong strap) figuring a ""shoe guy could sew the remaining"" bits back. apparently not! Tony has years of knowledge and told they wouldn't hold my way but he spent the next 20 minutes figuring out an alternative solution by tying knots. His price was totally reasonable too. So 5 stars were 100% deserved. more

Solid old-school craftsmanship 3/5/2009

Tony is very professional and a great craftsman. I brought in three designer bags that needed repair ranging from a minor fix to a major overhaul. He sets your expectations right as to what is possible given the condition of the item and delivers on his promises. Highly recommended! Pros: good service, solid quality of work Cons: a bit on the expensive side more

Best Shoe Repair in the City 12/23/2008

I have been using Tony's for about 4 years & love it. I have tried a couple other places that were more convenient location wise & was always disappointed in the quality compared to Tony's. As a heel wearing girl in NYC, you run into lots of shoe issues. He always does great work & will be honest with you if something is not fixable. Instead of charging to fix something that won't hold up. I recommend this place to everyone I know and still use it even though I work downtown now. He opens at 7:30 too which is great to drop off shoes before work & pick them up on lunch! Pros: Quality, Fast, Friendly Service more

The only place that fixed my girlfriend's sandals 4/22/2005

There are alot of shoe repair places all over the city. And for repairing a broken heel or sole, or any basic shoe repair, almost any cobbler will do a good job. My girlfriend wanted to tighten a strap on some sandals that had loosened over time. After talking to about 5 cobblers, this place was the only one willing to take the job. They did a pretty good job. On a side note, they also do all sorts of leather repairs (handbags, jackets, etc.). more
