Best

I love Todai even though I've been there only once (if i lived closer, i'd be there all the time). Their sushi bar is unbelievable (it's so huge). That was the first time I actual...

Rubberized sushi, salty hot food, tasty desserts 10/24/2005

I've tried Todai twice now, just to make sure my first visit wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. You can expect very rubbery sushi, sometimes with a faintly unpleasant fishy (not fresh) odor... salty and fried hot food... generally decent fruit... tasty desserts. Is it worth $14 for an all-you-can-eat lunch? If you're REALLY hungry, then it *might* be worth it. >$25 for dinner is definitely not worth it. With that said... in contrast with other reviews I've read, I found the waitstaff to be quite friendly and helpful. Pros: all-you-can-eat, easy, free parking, cute desserts Cons: sushi's pretty lousy, dinner's expensive, tea not free more

Garbage 10/7/2005

This place is garbage! Little variety, unfresh sushi, food looks like it came outta the freezer, i bit into still frozen shrimp before, waste of $, went there once, gave them a 2nd chance n it was still garbage, epitome of garbage food, only thing todai is good at is cheating kids, i don't know why it's still in business, only people with no taste will ever keep going back, i won't even go on my bday, just gonna ruin it, spend your $ else where Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Not worthy..... 8/12/2005

It charged $22.95 per person for weekday night. The varities of foods are just average and some of the foods are not really tasty, they are not taking good care of their taste at all. Only take reservation for party of 8 people. For the same price, you'll find better taste of sushi in other places. Pros: Buffet, Good Parking Cons: Expensive, Not tasty more

Buffet 2/18/2005

Recommended for average quality sushi for a good price. I went to the Daly City branch this evening and found out they discontinued the small lobsters as part of the food buffet. The new rules are: one per person per visit. Pros: buffet Cons: not highest quality more

It's Back 8/1/2004

Finally they bring back the free meal for anyone on their birthday with proof of id. For a time they gave out only a free meal coupon for the birthday person to use on the next visit. The price for the buffet is still over priced for the casual diner. You only get your money's worth if you starve yourself the whole day and then visit todai. Even then it cost more for dinner vs. lunch. Pros: Large selection Cons: , Too noisy, Parking is a hasle more
