I moved to Oceanside around 4 months ago. Around June I needed a haircut and color so I started some research in the internet to find a salon. I found some good reviews about TNT ...

Not a good experience as a customer 8/25/2008

I moved to Oceanside around 4 months ago. I was looking in the internet to find a salon close and with some good reviews. I decided to try TNT because there were some good reviews about it. Although the color and haircut was good I didn't experience a good experience as other people review here. My stylist was Mandy. When I got there and I was a little early I waited for a little bit. When she came up to me she didn't introduce herself and didn't give any smile. She asked what I wanted and did her job. She did offered me water and magazines. I felt like she maybe didn't like me for some reason or thought maybe I wasn't good enough to be her client. I'll be living in Oceanside for at least 3 years as my husband is in the military. She could make some money with me but now I'm shopping around for another place. Maybe someone a little more receptive with first time customer. more

Not a good experience as first time customer 8/25/2008

I moved to Oceanside around 4 months ago. Around June I needed a haircut and color so I started some research in the internet to find a salon. I found some good reviews about TNT so I made an appointment. My stylist was Mandy. When she first came up to me she didn't introduce herself or even gave me a smile. She just showed me where I was suppose to sit. She asked me what I wanted to do and that was about it. The haircut and color was fine. But the customer service that she gave me was very bad. I wasn't expecting to tell her about all my life but not trying to be at least nice made me think that or I wasn't a good client for her or she didn't like me for some reason or maybe she thought I wasn't giving her a good tip (what I did anyways). I'll be living in Oceanside for at least 3 years and now I'm trying to find someone else to work in my hair. more

The first time I died my hair it cost me a fortune and I wasn't especially thrilled with the results. Then I met Toni......this woman has given me the most AMAZING cuts and colors at very reasonable prices. Better than that though, she invests her sincerest care into my hair. SHE LISTENS TO WHAT I WANT, ( which we all know is sometimes hard to find in a stylist ) and she uses and recomends products that are really good for my hair. She recently took me from brunette to blonde , which isn't an easy task ,and the results are so great. I couldn't be happier. Pros: Close to I-5 and 78 more

If you want the best in town, then don't even consider anyone but Meka!!!! 9/4/2007

I just had to invest a moment to tell locals about this gem among us. Meka, of TNT Hair Design, is the MOST amazing make up artist that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I have modeled on both the east and west coast for years, and have seen my share of pushy, inconsiderate make up artists. Meka puts the "Artist" back in the term make up artist. I will be attending the Marine Corps Ball in the fall, along with about 6 of my girlfriends, who happened to be going out with me the night that Meka did my make up. They saw what an amazing job she did, and of course, they were super jealous..Bonus! :-) Anyhow, we are all going to the ball this year, and would not even think about going anywhere else. Her make up skills are superb, and the fact that she is right here in town is so fantastic. If you need a beautiful look created for your special day or night, you had better get in to see Meka before some magazine steals her from us. Thanks Meka. You are the best! Pros: Professional/Beautiful Work/Super Affordable Cons: None more

You've never seen make-up like this before, I guarantee you'll be amazed! 7/25/2007

I am an actress/model from London, I recently had a photo shoot in San Diego, I heard about Meka from TNT Hair Design from a local friend, she went on about how i shouldn't go to ANYONE else but Meka. I called the salon to make an appointment and was greeted by their very sweet Salon Coordinator, she was so helpful considering the fact that Meka was completely booked about a month in advance, she did everything she could to fit me in. When i came in for my appointment everybody was so nice and made me feel at home, the atmosphere was very professional and fun! Words cannot describe how much i loved the way Meka did my make-up, my pictures came out perfect! My skin has never been more flawless, and i couldn't even feel it! Truly Fantastic 7/20/2007

I have lived in Oceanside for nearly a year and was still driving to Riverside to get my hair done. I have had a few horrible experiences with trying new salons, and trusting someone new with my color. I read the last review and took a chance. Thank goodness!!! I made an appointment with Mandy, and thankfully she was able to fit me in the next day. When I arrived at the salon, I was instantly at ease. The salon is bright, clean and very welcoming. I was greeted with a smile immediately as I walked in by another stylist. Mandy was ready for me as soon as I arrived. I appreciated that she spent some time talking with me so that she really understood what I was looking for. She colored my hair and then highlighted it. I also made a huge change and cut my hair from long to shoulder length. I can not express how happy I am with the final result. My hair is the most gorgeous blonde with beautiful warm brown lowlights. And the cut is the best I have had in years. The entire expreience was fantastic. I would encourage anyone who wants a quality salon to try TNT! more

Nothing Short of Amazing! This salon beats them all! 6/22/2007

I absolutely have to write a rave review for this salon. My girlfriends and I just relocated to Carlsbad from Los Angeles. I was so nervous to look for a new hair stylist, and I turned to the reviews that I found online to make my decision. When I called TNT, the staff was super friendly, they took me at the last minute for a highight/lowlight trim combo. When I arrived, I was taken back immediately by my stylist Mandy. She was very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The appointment flew by becuase all of the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very chill. This is not some over priced, snotty salon. The people here make you feel like you have been coming to their salon forever. Most importantly, my hair turned out amazing. She did exactly what I asked, and I have zero complaints. Her color expertise blew me away. When I got home, everyone in my apartment complex kept raving about how great my hair looked. This salon will be the only one that I will go to from now on, and I have recommended them to three girls already. Ask for Mandy! 5 star performance all the way around. I hope this review helps someone else. Thanks TNT.....you guys ROCK!!! Pros: Affordable! Excellent Stylists! Cons: None. more
