Dr Feldman is AMAZING It took 5 vets to diagnose her thyroid deficiency

Worst

I took my cat here on July 28 for an emergency - his cheek had swollen to the size of a golf-ball. I took him here because it was close and they said it is an emergency hospital ...

Impressed 5/4/2011

I've pretty much have only had good experiences taking my dog to TLC Pet Medical Centers. The staff is always friendly, the facilities are clean from what I can see, and the vets seem to be knowledgeable. They are always upfront with how much things are going to cost and give you an estimate before you sign up for anything. They also call you if things are going to cost more than expected and ask for your authorization. I appreciate that TLC has kept my pocketbook in mind when dealing with my dog. The front desk staff has always been helpful and pleasant with me and my dog's vet explains things and makes sure I understand. My pup had a health scare a few months ago and I'm thankful TLC was there to help her. After the way they handled her there (and seeing the progress she's made), I knew TLC should be her full time vet. My dog recently got spayed here and I am so impressed with how the staff handled her and with the results of the surgery--my pup was back to her fiesty cute self the very next day! She also still had some baby teeth that hadn't fallen out yet that were being crowded out and pushed out front by her permanent teeth. The vet removed the baby teeth while she was under anesthesia for the spay at no charge--which I thought was very nice. I recommend taking your pet here, as the staff does seem to really care about pets and their owners as well. I'm extremely protective of my baby, as I know other pet owners are as well. I completely trust TLC to give my pup the care she needs to be healthy and happy. Parking is pretty convenient if there is space in their lot. If not, spots usually free up pretty quickly. I haven't usually had an issue with the parking. more

Fantastic vet 5/2/2011

I just feel compelled to give this place a good review because of the care and service that they provided for me and for my late and lovely chihuahua, Mister Lupe. This was a couple of years ago, but something was wrong with Lupe so I took him into see Dr. Baker. I noticed that his breathing was rapid and shallow and he just wasn't acting like himself. I left him for observation and received a call later that night that he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Then I received another call from them saying that Lupe had died and they had revived him. My bill came to a few thousand dollars, but they were able to offer me a discount and arrange a payment plan with me. My dog lived for 8 months longer and I am so very grateful to TLC for that time. I would reccomend this animal hospital to anyone, especially Dr. Howie Baker. more

Very kind and caring 4/27/2011

I have been here a few times for emergency's. There is one vet there that I absolutely love. Very kind and caring. more

Excellent 4/25/2011

Excellent care over the years for our two cats and one dog. Top trained, caring staff. Highly recommended to anyone who is seeking high-quality, consistent care. more

TLC is wonderful! 4/21/2011

I found TLC to be wonderful. We usually go to BHSAH but they misdiagnosed our Golden Doodle and a week later when I rushed him back they referred me to TLC because they were closing. That was a lucky break for our Woobie who was throwing up and really hadn't eaten the week after we brought him home from BHSAH- they diagnosed him with a virus or something and gave him antibiotics. We did blood work and x rays but they didn't see anything. At TLC, the technician that came to admit our dog after Dr. Hsu reviewed his information from Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital strongly recommended another x ray. She said his symptoms (constant and repeated vomiting) looked like he had a foreign object in his stomach or intestines. As it turned out he did have an object that was now in his intestines. We were going to transfer him back to BHSAH the next day but decided to go in and meet with Dr. Shih, the vet on night duty, and review the new x rays. We felt the staff seemed very nice and decided to have them do the gastronomy/ gastroplexy that evening. more

Great care 4/19/2011

I will take our dogs to TLC from now on for major medical problems and emergencies. They are a little more expensive for daily care perhaps- but the fee for this surgery and 24 hour care seemed inline with a 24 hour VET/ER. Thanks everyone at TLC for the great care! more

Doctors are great 4/14/2011

I have been taking my two kitty thier since I got them from a shelter. They have always been super nice and caring and Dr. Heibert is great. One of my cats got very sick and had to be hospitalized, they worked with my on the bill and even got the maker of the vacine to cover some of the cost. They are a bit expensive, but I have never had to pay before they would see my pet. It is like $120 for an after hours emergancy visit...and they go through the costs...before they do additonal treatments. more

Wonderful staff 4/14/2011

We love TLC. The staff there is wonderful and they all know my dogs well. We took my first dog here when he was a puppy and they saved his life. He came from the shelter and had distemper, giardia, a skin infection and they literally brought him back to life. Last year we had an emergency and they took amazingly good care of him throughout the two surgeries. Most dogs hate the vet's office, but my dogs greet the technicians with kisses because they trust the folks who handled them. When you have a scary experience outside the vet's office, it makes a world of difference to know that you can take your pets somewhere safe, where they will be well cared for and to people you can trust. more

Excellent care 4/7/2011

Excellent care! We love our vet here and wouldn't go anywhere else. She is great and always quick to call us back with any test results or messages we leave her. They are the only 24 hour vet hospital in all of the WeHo/ Beverly Hills area, so it's comforting to know they are there if we need them. more

Vets Are Very Kind 4/6/2011

Vets are very kind, as are the vet techs and the people at the front counter. Treatment is quite good - my cat lived about a year longer than I was told she should have, and their attentiveness has to be one of the reasons for that. more

Highly Recommend TLC 4/1/2011

I was a little suspect of TLC after reading the many negative comments on Yelp... fortunately this was not my experience. I readily recommend TLC. The vet my dog was treated by, Dr. Tara Miller, is an obvious pet-lover and in no rush to get through the examination. From the front desk staff to the vet techs, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My little guy and I will definitely be back. more

Incredibly effecient & kind 3/23/2011

I just got back from taking my dog here. He had an issue with his ear and was clearly uncomfortable. I called and then went straight there (It was 3 am!) She was very friendly on the phone and told me straight up that it was going to be a $125 exam fee accompanied by the cost of any procedures and medications. The girl at the front desk was very friendly. she had me fill out paperwork and then she took my pup back to get him checked out. After about 10 minutes, the vet came out. He did a full exam told me everything about my dog. Turns out he had an ear infection. They went ahead and fixed him, set me up with ear drops and I got out of there for under $200. I am VERY pleased with my experience here and I was happy with the service, staff, and price. I would charge a lot more to get me out of bed at 3am to look at a dogs ears... I really recommend this place. I only chose it initially because this was an emergency and they were the closest to me. But, now I think I will go back next time my little guy needs a check up. I am super bummed that this place has bad reviews. Just so ya know, I saw Dr. Ed Hsu. He was incredibly efficient and kind. more

there to help 3/21/2011

I am so impressed how TLC has cared for my pets on different occasions, I had to come on here and give them 5 stars. There have been several times, I have had emergency situations with my pets, and even just talking to them over the phone, they seem to always have the answers. So, THANK YOU TLC! Tonight you saved my cats life, and in the past it was a few of my dogs. They are compassionate and truly care for the animals, no matter what time or day it is, they are there to help. more

very caring & informed staff 3/21/2011

TLC has a very caring and informed staff. They called me immediately with test results. Dr. Baker was very caring and attentive to my shy rescue dog and the staff is always very nice and helpful when I call with questions. more

FABULOUS doctors/staff 3/16/2011

TLC is not just a Vetrinary clinic with HIGHLY trained and FABULOUS doctors/staff - but it's a 24-7, 365 days a year emergency hospital! Of course for some things you may pay a little more for treatment - but my dog is worth the quality of medical attention this place can give me at any time of the day and any day of the year. (Come on - If you can show up at 4am to have your sick animal tended to or looked after do you really expect it to not run a little higher on overhead??) What it really comes down to is the incredible doctors... they're smart, well informed, and one of them is even really hot (if that's why you go to a vet). :) They have great bedside manner and have always taken great care in explaining every option for treatment to me to ensure that I'm doing the right thing for Chance (my dog) - which includes what I can expect, the costs of treatment, and the risks of non-treatment. more

Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else 3/11/2011

I have to defend TLC from the previous negative review. I have taken my dog here for over four years, and have received nothing but compassionate, thorough care through every visit - emergency and otherwise. My dog had a gruesome accident with very serious injuries, and TLC was totally proactive in their care - they pre-arranged the surgical team and took care of my dog with kid gloves until the consult. The doctors are very professional and knowledgeable. I have asked them a million questions and they have been able to answer all of them. Unlike some other veterinarians (cold, clinical, unemotional), the vets at TLC actually give a ***t about their patients. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else in town. I don't even live in WeHo, but I make the trip to TLC to ensure he has quality vet care. more

Very Sweet & Gentle 3/9/2011

The doctor was very informative with her diagnosis, and she was also very sweet and gentle with him which made me very happy. She even cleaned his ears out for us because she saw he had a little bit of wax in them which I thought was very nice of her. Simba is just a fidgety cat around people he doesn't know, and he took a liking to her which I thought was a good sign. The veterinary assistant that gave Simba his shot was also gentle, and was nice to him as well. He hissed at her though when she tried to put him in his carrier, but that was because he hates being in his carrier. more

Very Knowledgable 3/7/2011

I took my very sick older cat here a few days ago, and I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, she had to be put to sleep, but Dr. Ed Hsu was very compassionate and patient with answering all of the countless questions I had in detail. He explained her illness in detail, discussed the options with me, and helped me weigh the decision of taking her home to pass away in peace or have her put to sleep in a pain-free manner. All of the staff were very professional and friendly, and seemed to be trained in the proper way to treat a person like me, who was blubbering uncontrollably from beginning to end. While they may not be the cheapest option, they were upfront with the costs. The facility is clean, and all of the staff seemed very knowledgeable, especially Dr. Hsu, so I feel like I got the level of service and expertise that I paid for. I've had cats and dogs all of my life, and therefore have been to some bad vets, but this isn't one of them. There was also another customer in the reception area with an injured dog who was getting a lot of attention and seemed very satisfied. To top it all off, I received a very sweet bereavement card today signed by several of the staff, many of whom even wrote kind messages in addition to signing. Thank you TLC, and I'll definitely be returning with my dog and cats. more
