I had to have a headlight replaced due to it not being as easy to change as one may believe. It was a time consuming task and I was more than happy to bring it in and pay for the service.
My problem, I had called a couple weeks prior for and estimate and was told it would be around $25; great, sounds reasonable. I called to make my appointment and I was quoted $75 for labor, plus the cost of the bulb (which I was informed was $4). I thought the quote was high, but it was a task that was hard to complete at home because the front bumper of the car had to removed. I called back, went over the price with another employee and was quoted the same, as I was told earlier that morning, he looked up the information once more. I called twice that day and each conversation was about 5-8 minutes in length to make sure the quote was correct. I was disappointed due to the fact that when I went to pay for the service and my bill was over $100. The bulb was $17, not $4. I was then told I could have brought in my own bulb. It would have been nice to know as I already HAD a set of bulbs I had purchased and now have to return.
In all, please, when looking up information for a customer and giving them multiple quotes please actually take the time to look up the information. This will provide better service for the customer, which will lead them to return and also recommend the business to others.
I would like to add, everyone I have spoken with is polite and welcoming when you arrive.
