Tiramisu

After years of getting take out (pizza, hot hero's) I decided to take my family for dinner before the local fireworks show, we got to Tiramisu at 7:30pm (reservation) and were seated promptly, our server was pleasant but distracted. We orderd a small pizza for the kids ages 3 and 6, gnocchi for my wife and eggplant rollatini for myself, both came with salads which arrived soon after we placed the order, I chose Honey Mustard dressing, there was non honey in it, it was like putting mustard with vinegar on the salad and was inedible, I've never sent food back but this I did, and had the ranch dressing which was "ok" after an hour the pizza arrived, 15 mins later our entree's, a 90 min wait!, the Gnocchi was under cooked and gritty, the penne that came with my eggplant was raw, the Eggplant was tasty, but I had lost my patience and asked for it all to be bagged to go, the hostess took the check and disappeared for 10 mins before my change had been returned. This is a Great place to take food out from,(Pizza and baked goods) but NOT to eat in, I may have gotten the kitchen on a bad night, but Im not sure if I can spend another $100.00 to find out! For those of you who don't know, Tiramisu is now, and has been for over a year, under new ownership but keeps the same name. It is owned by the Carozza Brothers. On wednesday nights they even have live music in which the two owners sing italian songs. It is now the best kept secret in the valley! And, the prices are great too! Service is awesome as well! You'll feel right at home! more

The food is tasty but... Last week when we ordered "take-out", they dropped our food on the floor. This week...we ordered one appetizer & 2 dinners. My poor husband waited 40 minutes because they lost our order. So he reordered. Our salad dressings were completely screwed up. I had ordered clams w/ linguini & marinara sauce- I got clams, some linguini & no sauce (dry, dry, dry). My husband's sausage roll came with shrimp cocktail sauce (an odd combo). So while I love their food (at least when the order is right), I'm afraid I won't be dining there (or taking out) any longer. more

Tiramisu is owned by the same person who owns Mario's Brick Oven Bread. The quality of the food at both of these places is very high. Tiramisu's pizza is very decent and fresh tasting. The crust is delectable and the pizza tastes as it should from an Italian restaurant - like good Italian pizza. It is not bland. Tiramisu's pastries are about as decent as you can get in the area without driving to Poughkeepsie. The prices are reasonable, and they taste authentic. more

Tiramisu is a family restaurant, and has delicious food. They provide everything you could ever want in a small Italian restaurant. I've eaten here numerous times, sometimes, just to stop buy to pick up a small slice of tiramisu for a couple bucks. The desserts are absolutely scrumptious and delectable. The prices are moderate but not too high or too low. You will leave completely satisfied. more
