Delicious stew and salad! 5/6/2009

I've had lunch at Tina's twice now and both meals were excellent. I had a stew that was absolutely amazing - quite filling, delicious, absolute comfort food. The side salad was great, but a bit too small. My waitress (I think it may have been Tina herself) was very friendly, and I was quite pleased with the price of the meal. Great value for a finicky eater like me. =) Pros: great food, simple Euro-ambiance more

Snooty Snobs 10/6/2008

We were new in town, hungry and the place looked inviting from the outside. Once we opened the door though, we were treated like the in-laws. After waiting over 10 minutes to get the hostess's attention, she sneered at us and asked if we had reservations even though the majority of tables were empty. She seated us near the side door away from the other diners. When we looked at the menus and saw the high prices, we decided to exit via that side door. We were not going to pay up the _____ to get the royal treatment! more

Great Spot on the way to the coast 5/19/2008

Stopped by Tina's on our way to the coast and had a great time. Our server was charming and attentive and the wine list was very impressive. The meal was well cooked, the lamb chop was perfect and dessert was to die for. Will be making this a regular stop during our trips to the beach! Pros: Food and Wine Cons: Lighting was a little too low more

Tinahhh...I don't think so 3/6/2008

The disappointing nature of our dining experience at Tina's compelled us to write our first review ever. Upon entering, our ""host"" seated us promptly, with little more than a nod to acknowledge our arrival. By all appearances the menu seemed to provide a tasteful variety of options which we expected, considering the price tag. The restaurant's wine list was, in hindsight, its most impressive offering. The waitress, after stammering out a hasty and forced greeting, continued a theme of unwelcome arrogance by the staff. No recommendations or menu highlights were offered. The salmon spring roll appetizer was delicious. The rabbit dish coupled with greens and mashed potatoes, as well as the seared duck breast complete with (burnt) pumpkin corn bread, proved to be lacking in flavor. As our waitress sat 10 ft. away counting her money, our water glasses sat empty for the duration of our meal. This proved to compromise not only our attempt at a romantic evening but also an otherwise perfect weekend getaway. Sorry to have troubled you with our patronage, Tina's...we won't be bothering you again. Pros: Wine list Cons: Where to begin? more

Great Food, Great Wine 10/23/2007

I, by chance stopped at Tina's for dinner one night and after dinner I knew that I would be coming back. The atmosphere was beautiful, quiet music in the background and a cozy feeling. My waiter was very knowledgeable about what wines go well with what and friendly. The lambchop I had was perfectly done and the dessert was to die for. They sell many local wines and have a varied selection so you don't feel limited. The service was amazing and so was the food. It was one of my best dining experiences and I plan on going back many more times. Pros: Romance, Ambience, Service Cons: Parking more

Don't Believe the Hype 9/12/2002

Tina's is decent restaurant, but it is not one of the best in Oregon. I think because it is in Dundee, a lot is forgiven. In France, Guide Michelin does not forgive things just because a restaurant is rurally located. It is expensive, it is a tightly packed room, there is no music playing, and my lamb was overcooked! While the server was knowledgeable, we rarely saw her. Great service does not mean taking the order, dropping off the food, and delivering the check. On another occaision I experienced arrogant attitudes from the staff. I'm not saying I'll never go back, I'm just tired of hearing the hype. Pros: Good wine list, decent food Cons: arrogant servers, no music, expensive$$$ more

A Night for Everyone 7/25/2002

A cozy restaurant with a French-Northwest cusine and a plethora of local wines. Quiant and personal while elegant, the wait staff is friendly and professional. The chefs perfectly prepare the meal, while you enjoy great conversations with your friends over glasses of local wine. more
