Great Experience 12/3/2014

The staff was friendly from the time I walked in the door. The appointment started right on time. The hygienist and the Dr. were knowledgeable and explained how to best take care of my teeth. This was an easy dental experience and I would recommend Gentle Smiles. more

Unprofessional - reception is very unprofessional; poor decision making and handling of customers; readiness to place responsibility for any incorrect assumptions and related actions by reception back onto the customer for not naturally knowing what reception feels they're dealing with in the position (however incorrect w/regard to specific customer's interaction, and regardless of whether another might ever consider reception's assumption to be anything but a convenient excuse to get out of accepting responsibility). I will look elsewhere. more

NO MORE FEAR.... GREAT EXPERIENCE 9/13/2012

I was so nervous to get my wisdom teeth out.. I have heard such scary stories. The dentist was very patient with me and explained everything that was going to be done. I was so nervous. I closed my eyes and was like is that it.. The assistant made me feel so comfortable and my wisdom teeth were out in less thn 20 minutes. I am so thankful for them amazing job that was done! By far the most plesant experience at a dental office. HIghly recommend!! So happy to have found such a great dental office!! more

This is a top notch office. The hygienist who did my cleaning did an awesome job and was very thorough. I also had a filling done that was painless and quick! I felt very comfortable in this office as a patient. I felt that I was well taken care of. more

I have had absolutely nothing, but the best when it comes to this office. Everything was done quickly (yes no 50 minute waits), and I am proud of my smile because of this office. more

Picking a new Dentist 8/21/2012

I hadn't been to the dentist in 18 years because they hurt me, back when I was in the Army but one of my teeth was giving me fits and I decided that I would try to get some help and that's when I found Gentle Smiles. I had great office staff help and that put me at ease right from the start. After the dental session where it seemed like 5 dentists looked at my teeth, I went home with no pain. I have sinced returned for regular cleaning's and will continue with Gentle Smiles for my family and myself. more

All my experiences at this office have been exceptional. The office staff are welcoming and friendly. The front receptionists greet you when you walk in the front door, the hygienist strike up a conversation on the way to the back. Throughout the visit you are treated so well, you feel like your with people you've know a long while. This is absolutely the best place for any dental work. more

As a dentaphobe, I never believed I would ever be recommending a dentist. Dr. Wachuta and his associates are exceptional. My experiences with him and his whole staff have been enjoyable. If you're looking for a dentist, this is the place to go. more

Unprofessional! 4/1/2011

Wish I had read the above review PRIOR to going there. I am sure my bill will be outrageous, just for x-rays. A co-worker suggested I go try out this office. The hygienist was amazing. When the doc came in he said I had severe decay for my age (which I am well aware of). He kept emphasizing I had a ""habit"" to quit before my teeth get worse. I asked him to explain. He asked if I drank a lot of pop (I used to, but only one a day), if I drank sports drinks (rarely, when I am sick), then said he has seen teeth similar to mine on people with bulimia or who have smoked crack. I was appalled. Never have I ever been so generalized (I live in a ghetto town, so I am sure he looked at my address and made an inaccurate ridiculous assumption). Being a person who does not smoke, drink, or do any drugs, I have been devastated that my teeth are so susceptible to cavities, but the dentist was unprofessional. I will NEVER go there again. more

unprofessional, unnecessarily painful experiences 1/23/2011

I never ever write reviews about doctors, restaurants or anything else so it took an AWFUL dental experience to get me to bother to review this dental office. I've been to Wachuta's Colorado Blvd. dental office for 5 years now and while I've always thought the place to be subpar (rude front desk lady, terribly annoying '80s and '90s pop music playing in the exam room from ancient static emitting boom boxes, routinely running behind schedule, never seeing the same dentist twice, never sure that treatment plan suggested is actually necessary, etc, etc, etc) pure laziness has kept me from finding a new dentist. HOWEVER, recently I went in for what I expected to be a routine filling and the dentist who did the deed injected me with the painkiller and then disappeared for 50 minutes (I timed this since I was paying a babysitter and annoyed with the wait). When she returned the painkiller had practically worn off and I could feel nearly everything being done to me. Now the filled tooth hurts and is sensitive to cold. I have a very, very high pain threshold and I found this routine filling to be more painful than childbirth! STAY AWAY FROM DR. WACHUTA'S OFFICE!!! (by the way, in 5 years I've actually never seen the illusive Dr. Wachuta. Rumor has it that he does actually grace his own office occasionally, but I've never seen him there. Maybe he does a good job treating patients, but I've seen 4 of his underlings in nearly as many years and they have all been either average, subpar, or (as in this latest case) TERRIBLE. more
