I signed up for TWC about 6 months ago. Me and my roommate have made numerous appointments for a range of problems and they have never once showed up, called saying they wouldn't be there or left a note on the door. Of course, the window of time they give you is a lot like a plumber...""we will be by anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. So we ended up not only wasting time sitting on the phone but also at home waiting for their technicians. \r
Most recently, and what made me cancel my ""service"" and refuse to pay my bill was this. We had our internet and cable go out at the end of August. We called and made an appointment and they said they would be out between 8-10 in the morning of Sept 5th. Of course they didn't show up and when we called to reschedule, they said they would be out later that same day, between 4-7 pm. They didn't show up again. So after not having service for another week and a half, we called again and threatened to cancel our service with them if they didn't fix our cable/internet and give us credit for the 17 days that we hadn't had cable or internet access. They said they could only give us credit once they fix the problem. The guy shows up this time, which was nice. Afterwards, I call again and ask for a credit for the 17+ days that we didn't have service. The customer service rep said he can't credit me for those days, that the tech said I was not there on the 5th for my appointment, but he will give me a 1 DAY CREDIT. Which amounts to about $5. So on a $125 bill, where I didn't have service for 17 out of 30 days due to there faulty equipment and inability to keep an appointment, I get $5 off? \r
The amount of time that both my roommate and I spent on the phone talking to these idiots probably totals over 10 hours. Never once did they solve anything. And this isn't totalling the amount of times that we were ""disconnected"" after waiting for 45 minutes. So if you actually read all of this, I would NOT recommend this company.
Pros: Customer Service was for the most part friendly.
Cons: Out of 5 appointments made, they showed up to 1. Long periods of time put on hold on the phone. Frequent periods of no internet or cable service.
