Recently I met a friend at Tierra restauarnt, a small eatery right next to the Atl. Botanical Garden. I had passed by it many times, but hadn't stopped. Well I'm sure glad I did. ...

My husband and I had driven by Tierra a few times since we live nearby and thought we would give it a try. We walked in on Friday night without a reservation, but the owner said ...

We will visit again! 12/9/2003

I took my wife to Atlanta for her birthday and decided to take her to Tierra for dinner after reading all the great reviews on Citysearch. I am pleased to say that all of the positive reviews are here for a reason. This place is amazing. We started with a delicious empanada appetizer, moved on to seared scallops, and finished up with the tres leches cake - which is to die for! The entire meal was excellent and the staff was courteous and attentive. Our waitress suggested a perfect wine to compliment our meals (if only I could remember the name - it was Chilean) and Dan, one of the chefs, personally thanked us for making the trek from Nashville, TN. Our next trip to Atlanta will include Tierra, that's a given. Pros: Ambiance, Attentive, Great Food Cons: Parking is not great more

Beautiful Restaurant, Beautiful Owners 9/28/2003

Tierra knocked my socks off. I expected something in between- amazing and eclectic. I recieved the best of both!! Tiecha and Dan, owners and chefs, passion for life is expressed in each dish. Go with a friend, a new date, your husband or group of friends, I can assure you, you will leave a happy!!! more

Quaint Atmosphere, Great Food 7/19/2003

The atmosphere at Tierra is a nice mixture between modern interior design and South American accents. The menu is small, yet encompasses enough diversity and interesting tastes to accomodate frequent visits. Supposedly, the menu changes almost weekly, and the chefs (a husband and wife) take turns in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and would truly enjoy it if the restaurant served liquor/mixed drinks, although the wine list is suitable. more

Soul-filling food 2/10/2003

Wow! after hearing good things about this place we decided to stop by for some appetisers on a monday night. Amongst three of us we shared a delightful crab timbale, mussels with a chilli and corn broth, Purple potato cake (the best i've ever had). Intimate and heartfelt this is the sort of place i'll go back too. Great atmosphere i just want to learn more about south american food after being here. more

Let it sweep you away 5/30/2002

I challenge anyone in the city to find an Atlanta restaurant that consistently delivers perfect entrees (yes, perfect) at such reasonable prices. The menu changes seasonally, which gives diners one more reason to return often. I recently enjoyed a salmon fillet that took my breath away. If you come on the right night, you might be treated to live tango. Make sure to end the evening with the tres leches cake. It's in the running for the best dessert in the city. more

A charmer of a restaurant 5/16/2002

I've only had the chance to dine at Tierra once, but I absolutely loved it. So cozy and intimate--it's perfect for a romantic night out. It wasn't very crowded on a Friday night, which made for a pleasant experience. The entrees were tasty, but definitely the highlight of the meal was the tres leches cake. I can say with certainty that it was the best dessert I've ever tasted. more
