Best

Yak Mo Mo delivered to my home? Awesome. They tasted just as good here. this place is terrific; appetizers were wonderful; Palek Paneer was sensational. this was well worth doing.

Worst

Too much cream. Food was just ok, not typical Indian. I wouldn't order again.

Family Favorite 5/5/2006

My sister discovered this restaurant at the last minute right before her internship in Nepal and it has been a family favorite ever since. The staff is very kind, the prices reasonable and the selection is so vast I have trouble deciding what to get everytime I go. There is something for everyone, as half my family is vegetarian, and everything is consistenly delicious. Metered street parking is available, but it might be difficult to find on weeknights since Old Towne is close by. I highly recommend the aloo as a main dish and the rice pudding for a treat at the end. Pros: great food, great service, casual more

No Regrets for Tibet 4/4/2006

I just had to try this place out, I was not familiar with Tibet food. A soon as we walked in the door, the server pleasantly greeted us and seated us. He gave us all the info on what ingredients they used on their dishes, what were the recommended dishes based on our liking, overall, we felt confident we made the right choices in ordering. The lentil soup is yummy. Portions are good for sharing between two persons. Ambiance is quite serene. Pricing is very fair, $50 will do for a party of two with a beer each including tip. Pros: Intimate, Ambiance, Service Cons: Parking more

So-so buffet 3/24/2006

Supposedly this was voted best buffet for 2005, it surely didn't show it when me and my friends went this past week. They did have everything that was advertised, but the food was lukewarm. The rice was dry and the chicken was slightly burned. Only the veggy curry and bread was good. We also ordered an appetizer Maasu Mo-mo, that was very good compared to the buffet we had. Pros: great atmosphere Cons: parking, lukewarm food more

Great place 7/12/2005

This place has great food, wonderful staff and a serene environment. The food is delicious, I had never had Himalayan food before, but it's a bit across between Chinese food and Indian food, both of which I love. Try it, this place is a great experince. The only thing I don't recomend about this place is to avoid it if you're in a hurry. Everything is made to order so relax, take in the environment and the smells and the food is come eventually. Pros: great food, Ambiance, Staff Cons: Slow if busy more

Such good food! 9/27/2004

This place is never a mistake everytime we go. The people were (always) extremely nice. The food is very ""homey"", makes you feel like you're at home. The portions ordered were adequate, they give you alot of shrimp with their ""shrimp curry"", not to mention the shrimps were huge! More like prawns I should say. But I couldn't tell you more other than trying it out for yourself. The only problem is finding a place to park. But worth it because the food is delicious and the service is superb, believe me! Pros: good portions, delicious more

FANTASTIC FOOD!!! 3/26/2004

This has become my favorite restaurant in L.A.; I had never had Tibetan food before and I am Completely astounded by the various flavors and skill with which the food is prepared. I have been many times and tried many dishes, all of them EXCELLENT. The Macha(salmon) is out of this world as is almost every dish. If you want somthing truly different, try this place ....you wont be sorry!!! Pros: Quality, Quiet, ambiance more

Try Tasty Tibetan 6/9/2002

If you enjoy Indian food and want to try something a little different, this is the place. They use a spice called emma to flavor many of the dishes. I had the goat which has the consistency of well-cooked lamb but not as pungent... flavor reminded me more of beef. It was in a tasty spicy sauce... I asked for it to be spicy. They have plenty of vegetarian dishes to satisfy all tastes. Pros: Unique flavors, Vegetarian Choices, Attentive Staff more
