Tia Rosa

The food can't be beat. Fresh and original. Super good. I crave the fish tacos and shimp quesadilla. The service always seems to be lacking. Maybe I just have bad luck... I'm due for some timely, friendly service with drink refills and chips in a timely fashion. Next time i'm sure. Overall, I suggest you go. The food is too good to pass up. more

I was driving by Higley and Guadalupe last week and saw a new Rancho de Tia Rosa (Tia Rosa) and I was unaware that it had opened. We knew it was coming, but it opened in Oct. of 2011, and we had know idea. Anyway we tryed it out last night, and had a great time. We sat in a booth and Tia Rosa's have the best booths. This new location has a lot more booths that the original location on Mckellips. The decor is bright and very festive. Our server was Frankie, and he was a cool guy and very helpful. We are very familiar with the menu, buy he sugested that we try the shrimp quesadilla. It was amazing. After dinner we went into the bar area to have a cocktail, and talked with Sean and David. 2 of the coolest guys ever. They sold us on this skittle shot. It is so good, a must try for everone. I love to go out to eat and mexican food is the food for me. I enjoy many other mexican food place around town and love the differences between them, but My favorite place to eat is Rancho de Tia Rosa. I have been a fan and go up to the Restaurant on Mckellips quite a bit so when we saw the new on on Higley and Guadalupe open we were so exited to have it just min from our house. The food is to amazing and the margaritas are so tasty. Try the Pinapple margarita. It is fresh pinapple that they soak in Don Julio Blanco for 3 days and then they blend it and add more goodness to it. We love the carne asada. It is slow cooked beef and it has so much flavor to it. Meals run about $12.00 and margaritas start at about $7.00. After dinner we stayed and talked to the 2 bartenders while having another pinapple margarita. David and Sean are great guys. Its a good thing we live close. We are able to walk hope:) more
