Recently, I decided I wanted to move to Norman, Ok. I wanted to take some time to select the home I wanted, so first, I looked for something temporary and inexpensive. In the Norman area, it's not easy to find any inexpensive housing! I looked at some places that were more expensive, and less habitable, before finally finding the Thunderbird Lodge. I was pleased from the beginning. The Thunderbird Lodge is a landmark in Norman, OK, home of the Oklahoma Sooners. It is situated on a very scenic lot, complete with lots of trees, gazebos and a nice pool. Upon arrival, I found the employees to be very pleasant and courteous. The rooms were very nice, and more than affordable. I was able to rent a room, complete with a kitchenette, for $499 per month, and be in a nice, secure environment. Another bonus is their location. I recently needed to find a place quickly in Norman, without a lease, because I am planning to move soon. I looked around, and was disappointed by many of the places I found. Then, I found the Thunderbird Lodge listed in the classifieds. I called my friend who lived in Norman for many years, and it turns out, she used to work at the Thunderbird Lodge. She told me it was nice, so I checked it out. I immediately moved right in! They offer nightly, weekly and monthly rates, with all bills included, and even offer free cable, HBO, phone and a pool. My five year old and I were able to immediately move into a small efficiency, complete with a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and even a microwave! Their monthly rate is only $500, plus a small deposit. The people here are wonderful! Maid service is included, and the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a motel in the area for either short term or extended more
