Best Customer Service and Repair 3/1/2010

Throckmorton's not only offers great deals on repair but has excellent customer service. Every time I go in there I am always greeted with a smile and friendly hello. Mr. Throckmorton takes time to look over my repairs and tell me just about exactly what needs to be done and about how much it will cost. The cost is always reasonable and the best I've found in Austin so far! The turnaround time is not bad either...most repair shops I've been to in town usually take more than 3 weeks to fix my things! Also, I've never had to take something fixed at Throckmorton's back for another repair. Overall, I firmly believe Throckmorton's in the place people should take their repairs! Goes Above and Beyond 2/28/2010

I had purchased a silver tray elswhere for my parents' wedding anniversary, and was looking for a place to get it engraved. I took it to several engravers and everyone told me the tray was too large for their machines. I was becoming frantic because I only had a few days left before my parents' anniversary, and I had promised my brothers I would take care of engraving the tray. I started calling trophy stores and jewelers and finally someone said I should try Throckmorton's Jewelers. I did. Throckmorton's also said the tray was too large, but Mr. Throckmorton sensed my frustration and created a custom device to stabilize the tray in his machine. He even stayed after hours to get this done for me by the next day. He was such a lifesaver! Throckmorton's Jewelry definitely goes above and beyond to make their customer's happy. more

great deal on Larimar jewelry 2/21/2010

When I was in Austin before St. Valentine's day I happened to stop at Throckmorton's. I needed a gift for my wife and found exactly what I was looking for. The very friendly, helpful people, especially Mrs. Throckmorton, found a piece of Larimar jewelry (necklace) that I knew my wife would love. And she did! The prices are great there and they have a unique shop. Mr. Throckmorton is a top-notch watch repairman. Pros: Good prices, friendly, helpful people Cons: none more
