Mmmmmmm Cheap AND Delicious! 9/25/2002

It's difficult to find a Thirfty's around town nowadays, but when I do, no matter how overstuffed or full I might be from a meal, I almost always make an effort to get an ice cream scoop from here. The Mint and Chocolate Chip is the best! The ice cream is soooo cold and refreshing and it doesn't have a generic processed taste like store brands or other parlors. Plus the people at Thrifty's always packed your cone with the ice cream, so you knew you were getting your money's worth!! Pros: inexpensive Cons: difficult to find more

Remember when? 8/1/2002

I remember as a kid walking down to the Thrifty store just to get a ice cream and being a kid I could always afford it. It melted in my mouth and was always the best. Now that many of the Thrifty's have shut down it's hard to find their ice cream - however whenever we see one we make sure that we pull over to share that great ""inexpensive"" ice cream with our kids. Pros: Full Servicings, Great taste, Great price Cons: Have to travel far more
