Waterton canyon is a trail going into the foothill just south of Chatfield Reservoir. The first 6 miles of the 17mile trail is rated for beginners and is a wide gravel road. The trail runs beside a river that is good for fishing, or you can ride bikes or hike the trail. After the first 6 miles the trail turns into a loop that is a well maintained singletrack. A very fun afternoon and great exercise.
