I ordered some ribs and I do not lie when I tell yall these were the BEST ribs I have ever had. They served it with this neat mixed sauce that made the flavor jump. If you are one of the many thousand of transplants from my beloved homeland of Texas, and you miss REAL barbeque, this may be the closest place to home. Tender, smoked kissed meats are complemented by generous, flavorful made from scratch sides. Couple that with the best sweet tea in Georgia, and you have an eating experience that is as close to Texan Heaven as you can get, even if the 'crew' is from Oklahoma. My personal favorite is their two meat combination with ribs and white meat chicken, collards and mac and cheese. Add to that a 'boss' hot sauce that my man Corey makes and you have yourself a meal, and might need a cold beer to cool ya down! Oh, yeah, if that sweet tooth starts aching, brother number two (Horace) makes a mean upside down pineapple cake that's to die for! Go see these guys, I'm getting hungry thinking about it! I have tried lots of BBQ in lots of BBQ restauraunts and Thompson Brother's BBQ is what its all about. This is the best BBQ I have ever had, and I always bring friends and family to this great restauraunt to show them what real BBQ is. I have tried everything on the menu, and everything is excellent. My favorite is the chopped beef, ribs, and hot links. The sweet sauce, and mix sauce set the meat off. The toast on the side is great and the side orders like the baked beans and greens are so good they should be illegal. You must try the sweet tea, and you will learn what tea is supposed to taste like, The pineapple upside down cake is rich and made me wonder who's grandma was tied up in the back. The guys working their are great people and really offer a friendly personal touch. I like the family type atmosphere wit the pictures on the wall. Its just a great place. I have certainly tried the rest and have now found THE BEST BBQ in Atlanta!! Thompson Brothers BBQ is highly recommended. I am definitely not a a fan of BBQ but the food here has turned me out!! I simply cannot get enough. Make it a point to visit this tasty restaurant and be sure to try EVERYTHING on the menu. The ribs and chicken are spectacular and the beans - whoa!! Off the chain! I've been eating at Thompson Bros for at least the past 1.5 years. I wish that I would have tried it sooner. I actually think that I've become somewhat of a ""BBQ snob"" because of it. I find myself disappointed at most every other restaurant whose BBQ I sample. I dine out 100% of the time (unless you count the once or twice a month I have cereal at home). So I am no stranger to dining out...and my expectations are high - I've been known to speak to a manager, leave a comment card or send in a letter or two because of poor service or quality of food. And I can say with confidence that the food at Thompson Brothers tastes fantastic (I've tried everything on the menu). I highly recommend the ribs, chopped pork, chopped beef and the chicken...but you can't really go wrong...the smoked beef sausage is good if you're looking for something a little different. As for the sides...I LOVE the baked beans! The mac & cheese is great too, but I usually try to order the greens - gotta get my veggies. OKAY...so I feel as if I'm rambling at this point, but I would leave you with these parting words...just give them a try and I bet you'll be a repeat customer. I recommend it to all of my friends and family (when they are in town). Enjoy! I was not a real fan of barbecue until I went to Tnompson Brother's Barbecue. Food is awesome. Service is Top notch and ladies.. Those are some fine men cooking and serving the food more

Anyone that would rate a Sonny's BBQ higher than Thompson's has NO idea what real BBQ is ! These guys serve the best BBQ outside of NC BBQ you will find ! more
