I have seen several counselors in the area and Dr. Shoaf surpassed them immeasurably. Not only did he accurately diagnose my issues...he took the face to face time so many counselors avoid. Highly recommend this doctor. more

After I sought help from several doctors, Dr. Shoaf took the time to understand the issues related to my sleeping problems. After a careful and thoughtful review and analysis he was able to prescribe a medication that I take nightly, without side effects and allowing me to get a good night's sleep. Great doctor for my son 2/19/2012

My son has had trouble with emotional. When we have tried to get him help, doctors don't seem to understand his difficulties. Dr. Shoaf got my son in quickly and was able to relate to him easily. We finally got a diagnosis that fits my son's symptoms. Dr. Shoaf took the time to help me understand what my son has been going through. Finally I feel I can participate and help my son succeed. Great with Children and Parents too 2/19/2012

As a mental health provider, I am always looking for a good doctor to refer to, especially a psychiatrist that works with children (and adults) who is a great doctor who works well with patients and families. I have referred 2 children to him, and the feedback from parents is that Dr. Shoaf has a great bedside manner, relating well to children, and takes time to answer parents' questions thoroughly. Both families were very pleased with his care, his extensive medical and psychiatric knowledge, as well as his ability to see patients quickly. Both of the children I referred are doing much better as a result of his treatment. I will be recommending Dr. Shoaf in the future without hesitation! Pros: null Cons: null more
