Yhat place helped my fiancee's mother and father steel our child while i was away she didn't do drugs or drink she was diabetic and just had surgery i the woman who ran the place would not let her leave or have any outside contact and kept her mail from her until the court gave her mom custody of our child they paid them a lot of money.this place is nothing but a cult more

My name is Phyllis.My son was 1.5 yrs old.I was a troubled mother.This progam was the best decision I ever made.It taught me discipline,growth & how to become responsible perso,I graduated 15yrs ago.Yes it was tough.But through the encouragement of Mom& aunt Ruthie they displayed & showed me.Only the Lord can change you & transform you.Threw watching mom preach & pray for us miracles happened.I love the attitude & devotion to people who see no hope.I was one of the many who passed through the doors.They walked & I stayed.I cannot thank God enough for mom& Aunt ruthie enough.Life changing.If people want to say anything against these women shame on them.Don't walk through the doors only to walk out,There are plenty of women who really need the help.God Bless Mom & Aunt Ruthie.Love,Phyllis more

I was a volunteer thinking I was going to help out a worthy charity. But what I saw was very disturbing. The first issue was Kristy at the front counter. I was immediately berated for not having any paperwork. When I asked about what papers I needed she said I should know all ready? I was trying to be friendly and asked a few questions about the staff and organization and I was rudely told to not ask any such questions! Suddenly out of nowhere, there was so much scorn and resentfulness in her voice. It was really the worst first encounter with another person that I have ever had. I went ahead and did some work for Jenna who seemed to be normal and in control of her emotions. Later, I was again confronted about leaving trash all over the floor and picking up the containers which I HAD BEEN TAKING CARE OF THE WHOLE TIME! The other activities I saw there was another girl working in the kitchen who was very polite and asking clarification questions about how to store some food items. And this other lady Ruth was telling her to shut up and not letting her finish her questions and telling her that she was stupid. I was very shocked at this treatment. I felt like I was at a prison or something. Another girl who worked in the kitchen with the food was later sitting in the parking area combing fleas out of a near dead kitten! Later, she was back in the kitchen! I really was sort of freaked out by everything that happened there. I don't think I can justify going back there ever again. more

After reading a few non-favorable reviews, I decided to physically drive to this place to check it out before I invested a lot if time, money & energy to volunteer & help others. I was less than pleased to see the conditions of this place. I realize it's a charity & not a fancy hotel, but seriously?? It looked more like a garbage dump. I walked around outside looking for someone to talk to & it was eerily silent. The store was closed in the middle of the afternoon & 2 people came buy needing things. They had a sign up for items for sale, I thought it was a charity for people who don't have money? If you SELL items to those w/out, just have a flea market or a garage sale! The whole place made my skin crawl. Those who stay here or have to get help could use a more up beat atmosphere not the doom & gloom I felt in just being there for 10 mins. I can appreciate this place is trying to help people, but I couldn't help but get the feeling that it just felt depressing. And those who have been in the program and lived there would know best what things are like behind closed doors. I personally red those reviews as red flags. I know some people can be disgruntled but, we also haven't live in their shoes. more

I am well acquainted with Third Phase and its ministry. The Phase employs a tough love program that has been used to free many of drug addiction and emotional problems. The program isn't for everyone, only those who mean business and really want help. Betty and Ruth are able to relate to those struggling and offer them love and hope. Third Phase is a blessing to all who are serious about overcoming an addictive lifestyle. more

This organization does NOT do their best to help the community, trust me, I experienced their "HELP" firsthand....... its a wonder we lived thru the experience. Yes, you drive to the door and drop your goods.... is that evidence that YOU really HELPED ANYONE? Come on....... these people have a basement FULL of your goods, and they are actively SELLING your items to profit themselves. Think I am wrong? Try getting your life jammed up without willfull provication, such as being 8 months pregnant with twins, your hubby falls and shreds his heel and caNT WORK... WORKERS COMP WONT PAY.... YOU LOSE YOUR HOME.... and depending on what you think, this is a good wholesome org. to help you cus you helped sooooo many in the past...... know what ya get???? Roach infested nasty conditions which require humiliation, retardation to accept and absolute dessimination of any thought of a rational, decent humanitarian effort to which we starved and were made an ass of.... Be careful what you feel is a "GREAT ORG" because the truth is....... they aren't what they are cracked up to be. more

In recent years I have found it more and more difficult to donate to charities. In the current climate of liability and lawsuits, so many things are turned away. That's why I like Third Phase. They are so kind and seem genuinely grateful for what people donate. They help a huge number of people through their residential program as well as their food pantry. If you are looking for a place to give money, food or time give Third Phase a call. more
