I started classes at The Yoga Space a month and a half ago, and from my first sun salutation, I?ve felt so at home in the studio that Michele Loew (owner and one of the teachers) has created. I hadn?t been to a yoga class for about ten years, and have found wisdom, compassion, and support from all of the teachers I?ve worked with?they really know their stuff and are so attentive to the individual needs and abilities of each student. I have a lot of tightness in my hips as well as trouble with my knees, and all of the teachers (I?ve worked with eight of them), well-versed in body mechanics, have helped me in finding modifications to safely support my particular practice. Michele embodies yoga philosophy and spirituality, and I?ve found great depth and healing, as well as nourishment for mind, body, and spirit in the classes she and her colleagues offer to the community. On a practical note, the classes are offered at times that can accommodate any work or life schedule--morning, noon and night. The classes and teachers and styles also cover a broad spectrum, from ones that allow me to work up a sweat and really get my energy moving to those that allow for more subtle restoration and healing. AND, they offer really affordable rates--$5 community classes twice a week and great packages. I did a month of unlimited yoga for $120 and went to class almost every day, which came out to about $6/class!
Pros: expert teachers, affordable variety of classes, great vibe
Cons: none!
