Best Massage I've Ever Had!!!! 4/24/2009

I've had lots of massages in my life with lots of different massage therapists with different levels of skill and expertise. I had a massage a few months ago at the Wellness Center after developing some unexplained muscle strain and stiffness in my neck. It was by far the best massage I've ever had. I can't remember the name of the massage therapist, but she knew exact what she was doing (not all massage therapists do, unfortunately, and you often don't find out until it's too late!) and used several different techniques to relieve my muscle tension, including deep tissue massage, accupressure, and thai massage. One of the best things about the Wellness Center is that it feels serene without trying hard. It's not trying to be a fancy spa with so-called ""luxuries"" that really just end up increasing prices without that much benefit to the client. Those looking for a ""spa-experience"" might think the massage rooms are spartan, but those looking for a great massage for an excellent price in a relaxing setting will be very very pleased. The Wellness Center is neat and clean an when you arrive, you will be greeted by very kind people and offered and assortment of teas while you wait. It truly is a Wellness Center! I recommend it heartily! more

Great massage! 4/14/2009

Really the best massage I've had. The therapeutic massage I received from Kathy was SO much better than a salon massage - no comparison. I have many knots in my back and legs and after an hour, they were all gone. I felt great afterwards - not sore at all like I've felt after a salon massage. The staff was nice and made sure I was comfortable throughout my experience. I thought the prices were reasonable before I came in and after my experience, I know I got my money's worth. Great place! Pros: timely, reasonable prices, comfortable, relaxing more

The most amazing massage ever 3/25/2009

The massage I had at The Wellness Center was the best massage i've ever had. Stephanie was my massage therapist and I went for deep tissue. She pin pointed all my stresses and she was so experienced. She was confident and I loved every single minute of my experience at The Wellness Center. I can't wait to go back! Pros: experienced, professional, Cons: far from where i live more

I love to float my aches and pains away! 3/15/2009

After a float, I feel mentally and physicaly renewed without a care in the World! I always book a float the day before I plan on competing in a triathlon or a 100 mile bike ride. That way, I know I will be in top physical and mental shape for my event! It works for me every time! Pros: The friendly and caring staff! more

Soooo nice! 2/26/2009

My fiance treated me to a massage at the Wellness Center for Valentine's Day and it was a wonderfully relaxing way to begin the day. The staff is very professional and they set you at ease without much fuss or worry. The environment is very calm and soothing and the 1/2 hour massage that I experienced was a nice escape from the common stresses of everyday life. There was no chatter or smalltalk necessary and she really zoned in on my tense muscles. It was a nice treat and I will definitely be going back! more

Great massage! 2/17/2009

The Wellness Center located in a residential area of south Minneapolis near Lake Nokomis is a great place to get a massage. It's nothing fancy or frilly but the rooms are comfortable, relaxingly lit with soothing music, and they have an ambiance somewhere between a doctor's office and nice hotel. They offer you hot tea or water when you arrive. They have products on shelves that you can peruse. And, after your massage there is a glass of water waiting for you at the front desk where they remind you to drink plenty of water and recommend taking an epsom salt bath and relaxing when you get home. They offer other services like a flotation tank but I've never been. One of their therapists uses sound waves via tuning forks to get your muscles back in tune. It may ""sound"" crazy but it worked for me. We've recommended friends and they say that it was the best massage they've ever had--check it out! Pros: all good more

This is the place for a great massage! 2/16/2009

This was my first visit to The Wellness Center, and I look forward to many more. I drove in a blizzard to get there, but my stress began to melt the moment I walked in, as I was greeted by a very soothing, relaxing environment and offered a delicious cup of tea. In addition to needing to de-stress from the pressures of job and daily life, I have chronic back and neck pain from a serious car accident that happened four years ago, which at times prohibits my very active lifestyle of biking, skiing, dancing, etc. My massage with Dawn surpassed my expectations for relaxation and relief. I am so impressed with her experience and knowledge of muscular injury . She was able release lower-back pain that a month of chiropractic work was not able to touch. My experience went far beyond what I am used to in a one-hour massage, and I have worked with many different therapists in town. I am looking forward to living a life of less pain with regular visits to the Center, and also checking out all the other services they offer. Highly recommended! more

Float Your Cares Away 2/5/2009

The float tank was the purpose behind my visit to The Wellness Center. I called on a Friday and was able to schedule not only the float tank but and hour massage beforehand the very next day! The massage was relaxing and the therapist was more than accommodating, allowing me to bring in my own massage product, as I have sensitive skin and allergies. The extra ""side wings"" on the table made my massage even more relaxing since my arms weren't dangling down like on regular massage tables. The float tank experience that followed was beyond words...90 minutes of total relaxation and an ideal opportunity to do deep inner work. I look forward to becoming a regular of the float tank, and the price is hard to beat! Being right on the bus line was also a definite bonus! Pros: float tank, value, on the bus line more

NO Pain, NO Cane!!! 1/9/2009

I found the Minneapolis Wellness Center the weekend of October 25, 2008, when I was in so much pain from my Fibromyalgia that I couldn't walk without a cane, and then it was a slow, painful walk. Terri was so understanding & helpful and she got me in for both the float tank & a massage the next day. Both were very relaxing and I was surprised how easy it is to ""float"" away my body pains. I cannot swim and I'm deathly afraid of being in water unless it's the shower!! Once I relaxed, my body pain literally ""floated"" away. After both the massage and the float tank I told Terri, ""I'm a new woman!!"" and walked out of there with NO pain and NO cane! I felt so pain free! \r \r I continue weekly visits to manage my Fibromyalgia, which intensifies when it is cold. (So, why am I living in MN!! LOL!) I recommend the Minneapolis Wellness Center for anyone looking to manage their pain. Also, the entire Staff @ the Wellness Center are very helpful and nice to everyone.\r \r MarianH Pros: EZ to find, free parking, friendly staff. more

Best Deep Tissue Massage in the Twin Cities 12/28/2008

I have been a client at the Wellness Center in Minneapolis for the past two years. Two of the best massage therapists (Stephanie and Joli) that I have ever experienced are only an 8 minute drive from Highland Park area of St. Paul. \r \r I train hard each day whether it be Pilates, martial arts, or climbing stairs. I know that when my muscles need to be released, I have two extremely talented therapists that I highly trust with my body.\r \r In the last two years I have sent over 40 new customers (mostly clients) to The Wellness Center. The Wellness Center is the TOP PICK for all my clients. \r \r 5 STARS!!.\r \r Pros: Close to Highland Park, Relaxing Atmosphere, Talented Staff, Accomodating with Scheduling more

Best Massage Around 12/8/2008

Thanks Sarah!\r \r I've been to the Wellness Center twice (in 2 weeks) to get a massage. My therapist, Sarah, is very professional and does a wonderful job of taking out back pain from muscle tightness.\r \r After a few days of awkward, heavy-lifting (I moved to a new apartment), I was ready for a massage. I randomly found The Wellness Center in the yellow pages. I am REALLY glad I did! I've seen a few therapists at different studios before, but I have never walked out feeling so relaxed and at ease.\r \r As I prepare for my 3rd appointment (in three weeks) I hope I am not developing a permanent addiction! Either way, I have been more than satisfied by the Wellness Center, and I'm sure you will be, too!\r \r Dave F. more

Wonderful services, treat yourself to a massage 10/29/2008

I had my first visit to the The Wellness Center for a massage and I was very impressed. I have had many massages at several spas in the metro area and usually book a massage whenever I travel. They are all so very different, but I was very happy with the massage experience here. The environment is very calming even in the waiting room. Everyone is very professional and my massage with Karen was relaxing and very comprehensive. The prices are very affordable which makes it easier to come back again and again and there are many different services available. My mom, sisters, girlfriends and I make appointments together once a year just to treat ourselves and this will be a great place to come. It is also an awesome gift to give (or ask for) for the holidays or birthdays! more

Best Relaxation! 10/27/2008

I highly recommend the Floatation Tank Therapy at the Wellness Center for deep relaxation. It is in a private, clean and quiet room in the lower level. The prices are great (best in town) and the facility is professional, clean, calm and tranquil. If you have time, have a massage before or after. I had a very therapeutic massage before my float last time and it was wonderful. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive. more

The Wellness Center Experience 10/18/2008

The Wellness Center experience begins the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by any one of a number of friendly staff.\r \r The rooms are pleasant, neutral, free from clutter and just the right size with soft music playing in the background. The lighting is adjustable to suit your mood, no strong odors and the temperature is comfortable.\r \r I had a short and informative discussion with my massage therapist about what I wanted and didn?t want. I was then given time alone to undress and comfortably position myself on the table under a sheet and blanket.\r \r When my therapist returned we exchanged a few more thoughts then it was quiet comfort and relaxation. I was in very capable hands that were warm, strong and gentle. This was the perfect combination of calm, caring attention that went to the sources of my pain and opened the doors for it to leave.\r \r I?m a repeat customer because The Wellness Center provides a clean, safe, comfortable place to receive nourishment for your body and mind. Good ahead, try it, you?ll like it!\r Pros: Excellent more

A place to heal 11/26/2007

I have been going to the Wellness Center for many years. I have a crushed vertebra in my back.\r The regular massage that I receive allows me to live a pain free life, in my back anyway.\r The owner Terri is caring and friendly. The facility is always clean and well kept. All of the staff is wonderful to work with. I would recommend Terra Wells for anyone who is looking for a gentler massage. Her massage has made my life better. Pros: All good more

Great place for relief! 7/9/2006

I have been going to the Wellness Center for over 1 year, and I would highly recommend it. I have selected a variety of the therapists, and they do a great job. Everyone is very happy and helpful, and the center has a very calming feel to it as well. The owner, Terri, is also concerned with customers satisfaction, so the service is good too. Pros: Great staff, great massage and good service. Cons: You can hear a little bit of noise when the doors are closed. Limited parking. more
